as for being hit back, the XCOM principle applies, neutralize the enemy before they can act is good one (basically value speed so you act first).

Jester Vestal Any Damage Dealer x2 will get you through any dungeon.
Once you learn how to stall, DD becomes a cake walk.
I'm not trying to flex here, but it is really that easy if you abuse certain mechanics.
