DY, RE, W3, MEAndromeda, MGS V, FC5, FO4, and so on
DY?
Resident Evil
Warcraft 3 ???
Mass Effect Andromeda
Metal Gear
Fight Club 5 ????
Forced Overtime 4 ?????
far cry and fallout, i think
yes
(in fairness, can you believe Blizz will let Epic have Warcraft 3 as a free game?)
it was withcer 3
Dying light
jebaited for good
the actual list has inside and nitw so i couldn't complain
Far cry primal 2
God, Dying Light 2 can't come soon enough
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is $29.99 on US PSN https://t.co/IiXiWY3Z1S

Next to Hades and P5R, this is one of my favorite games of last year.
PLEASE. PLEASE play it.
Kazuma Kiryu from Yakuza 0 roasts Franklin in GTA 5 with his famous Baka Mitai / Dame Da Ne meme song.
still strikes me as how modular gta v can be
Yesss 13 Sentinels the plot twists are crazy good
Steal
Something tells me I can find a cheap Second hand PS4 if I tried
But I only Imagine 2 games I would play on it tbh
with ps4 you could.... persona 5, god of war, bloodborne, sekirou, god of war.... worth it ๐
Is the ps5 PS+ collection still on?
gives you nearly 20 games of either launch titles, or amazing top hits
and also god of war
hm dont know about ps5. oh ghost of tsushima is great too
I haven't owned a Playstation since the second one but I watched a YouTuber play through Ghost of Tsushima and it looks like an excellent game
GOT looks really awesome, mainly because I know sucker punch can make a game about dolls moving and I'd still like it
got really attached to PS4 Infamous series
it's beautiful, and the combat movements are like, realistic. because the motions are performed by martial artists from japan
the game is too realistic and too good to be true
when I saw it back at E3 couple years ago
I also saw someone play through Cyberpunk and I'd say Tsushima is the better game
both different games
but still , Tsushima is really cool
this really reminded of the imagery of Dishonored 2
really beautiful scenes
They're both AAA open-world games but with different gameplay mechanics
i dont have cyberpunk, but my friends who got them on release have burned out from the bugs
(this is from the game itself)
Cyberpunk has higher ceiling than Tsushima but it fails to get that high due to bugs, rushed development, less coherent story
that is really nice @floral warren
ty
Id tech engine never cease to amaze me (especially Void engine)
I'm kinda inclined to sci-fi cyberpunk artstyle, so you can already guess I'm biased to CP77's Night city
i thought cyberpunk's story was coherent
classic storytelling from cdpr , or lackthereof?
like everyone has their own individual gripes about the game itself but the story is the one thing I've seen pretty much universally praised
also, congrats for the nitro
Some of the endings of Cyberpunk felt drawn out
The one thing I give them merit is that they tied up 2020 plot as best they could
And I think it could have gone way deeper into cyberpunk as a genre
I would more Cyberpunk'd games
Reminder most of the important characters that survive into act 1 are in fact, from the Tabletop
there isn't enough representation of that (and perhaps without a big F up like CDPR)
Johnny, Rogue, Adam Smasher, the Band love interest, the three Arasakas, all of them are from the tabletop
ahh yes. CDPR, known for taking existing lore and just make it into a game
The thing is CP77 is a Sequel to the tabletop in all aspects
I also feel like the whole corporate versus normal people thing was executed a little too cliche but it's still pretty good
While the witcher deviates completely
I mean it's executed cliche because the source material basically made the cliche
In fact it deviates in The witcher 2 when all those kings that are still alive in the books bein to get killed
witcher 3 just plays eurobeats and drifts off very far
Fun fact, Johnny Silverhand was originally literally Not-David Bowie
Does this looks like Keanu to you?
I would have liked to see more dramatic focus on the corporate angle in the same way that Ghost of Tsushima really puts the morality of being a samurai as the main question of the story
In fact, there is a twist in the game that absolutely isn't if you played the Tabletop
they pulled a dark souls
where you start from everywhere and roll up into one (or two) endings
||Arasaka son is the ''Good'' guy of the Arasakas||
yeah lifepaths did kinda suck
It was said by internal sources that they cut them off for 2 reasons:
Want to be a nomad? Well too bad ||you're going back into the city anyway soon enough||
||unless you pick the nomad ending where you leave the city for good||
-
It's the most expendable content as most people won't enjoy it 100% as they just play one playthrough
-
Cutting them means reaching Keanu (The main draw of the game) sooner
Yeah but ||you can pick the nomad ending from any path||
The flashbacks you get on the corpo path where in fact residuals of that cut content
yeah I had a suspicion it was to speed up the beginning
because people didn't finish witcher 3
and they fear that they leave 10% of the game and not finish it
I mean if you are gonna cut something
still strikes me to this day that they believed this BS
What I find hilarious is that only in the Corpo path you start as Jackie's friend
oh, wow people won't finish it
how someone's going to justify the sub 70$ that they threw in for a game
Like in the one you are the most detached of the criminal world you are the most close to your criminal buddy
I don't think the main story being shorter is necessarily a bad thing
classic cdpr play time of a game
Ubisoft has basically disillusioned me with the concept of long games
You have to make every hour worth it
Omori is a twelve hour RPG and every hour is worth it
Hell, I usually have more fun with 10-20 hour rpgs than 50 hour ones
As they offer a tighter experience
That's probably because it's harder to make a 50 hour game enjoyable
I kinda left Ubi's games behind
until recently with the watch dogs series

It may be harder when they do is so worth it
DQ8 can last 100 hours and is incredible
Like I'm starting to get bored of Hades around 30 hours
The shame is that it's easily remedied with DLC
hades is fine i don't want dlc
Borderlands 2 is also mighty fine despite being quite long
Like just add a new dungeon and four more bosses and boom you have Hades expansion

Easy money
up to the devs to decide I guess
I'm sure they've been bombarded with pleas to make DLC already
and they've already made it fairly clear there won't be any
I assume they've done the math and it's not profitable, or they want to move on to something else
I'm really ok with what they're doing now, wrapping up the game and just ๐ต move on ~~up ~~next ๐ต
quick reminder: Dark souls achievement "Die for the first time" have only 91,7% of players
what you are saying is 8.3% of players finish the game without dying?
that's pretty good
or did not start playing at all
dang, they surely have a life
they have one life yes and they used that one life to beat Dark Soul
meanwhile, counting how many times until I've killed QueLaag
yeah, im being facetious.
Vaild
i'm always fascinated, how some of the achievements in games, that you're pretty much guaranteed to get, have less people than expected.. sometimes even around 60% of all the owners
sometimes even less
oh my god, i accidentally knocked my pen against my wine glass and the SOUND... instantly looked around and went "FISHING POINT?!"
get me to gamer rehab
118
Sometimes I see the fishing point when I didn't hear the fishing sound
And I start to question if I'm going deaf

oh now i think about it, if you wanna clear dark souls you have to die at least once
Maybe they all just got up to that part deathless and were like "I refuse to die" so they quit right there

lmao
new level of determination
that must be it
perhaps so
or someone really played dark souls from different accounts and platforms so they know what to do, saved every bonfire location by heart
sometimes: I love watching DS3 players coming to DS1 and seeing that you cant walk during Estus
and It's not noticeable , but kinda hilarious
(I don't mean to talk bad about DS3 players)
having played the faster games like bloodborne and sekiro it does feel very cumbersome. even monster hunter lets you drink while running now xD
force of habit, and all that
i used to make random shots in BB, forgetting i don't have a shield
I bought that an Airborne kingdom with the coupon
Im pretty sure I already know where the plot is going, but it plays well, there is a decent amount of exploration, and the music is nice
You know could you played other games that you have not finished playing.
you mean, playing something from huge steam library, that was bought and never started?
how is that possible
there's these games that you can't finish it , just because
like skyrim
For me i been playing stardew valley I think I get trap in the gameplay
feel like that about assassins creed
here I am being ironic to myself : but I finished Witcher 3 2nd dlc a couple weeks ago
I actually have finished 90% of my SP steam library
Nice
reminds me that i have to play Witcher 3 someday
SP, meaning Singleplayer Games
it has been released 5 years ago and still a new game for me
For me i have not finished playing stardew valley, chaos child, victor vran, assassin creed odyssey, sekiro shadow die twice, hades, divinity original sin 2, code vein and more
well, most multiplayer games can't be finished for various reasons
for anyone who mist it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFkjKq7tb9g

1.they cant be finished
that preview though
Hm speak of games that can't be finished no man sky. I hear that game is endless
technically, it's not
like Spore, or Starbound
it just takes centuries to finish
like, real-time centuries
I see
For me i have watch the no man sky gameplay. On YouTube. It looks nice.
But it doesn't have alot combat.
So I decided to not get it
reminds me the times, when it has been first released.. CP77 has been pretty nicely met comparing to NMS
^
NMS is more like you are an explorer and nomad
Yup no man sky is travelling to different planet
Which is endless
At least stardew valley have a ending
Same with hades
NMS is all about exploration.. new unknown worlds, noone has ever seen or heard of, probably even devs, and you're literally the first one to see them
Hm
But I guess I just don't like endless gameplay travelling to different planet
Doing the same thing
for me personally, in these kind of games i usually look for some kind of world, where i would want to stay
eventually
and call it home forever
Is steam down for anyone else?
yep
server connection error
I see
Oh good
I been busy doing some drawing project I been working on today
I was worried I mightve been hacked
Let's try airborne kingdoms
probably it's bc of steam update
I see
or maybe not.. idk if there is an update
steam just updates every time it's being launched
Oh well I guess we have to wait
In the mean time I been planning to draw a loli anime character
I just like drawing cute characters
good thing there is always an offline mode
@twin yarrow nice
Good thing I got egs on the back burner
or that
Good thing now I can read my Manhua book
Later I gotta pretend I'm Belisarius and rebuild the Roman Empire
Fox spirit matchmaker
I'm playing total war Attila: The last Roman
A nice fun comdy book to read
ohh, I almost got that one! it looks really nice, and I usually don't get very interested in city building games (they're neat tho), I hope you enjoy airborne kingdom! ๐๐ป
Yeah it was Airborne kingdoms or Ageless
ageless looks neat too ๐ gonna save it on my wishlist for the future
I ended up getting Ooblets with the coupon tho, it just seems like such a fun game
watch the carrion run https://clips.twitch.tv/ThoughtfulDeterminedDugongItsBoshyTime
They got the comedic timing down tight
Honestly I thought this was the weakest year for video games in a long time
little did we know what games will be released
I mean , doom , half life, ff7r, and Hades
I dont really count Hades is the thing
Because its been in early access for a while
To me its more of a 2019 game
not a lot knew about it (including me ) until very recently
Idk about that, but its ultimately personal opinion
FF7R was a decent game, but not like, that impressive if you know what I mean?
Even was only my second-favourite JRPG that year
And ther ewere a couple of decent games otherwise but like
Nothing that really stood out to me
No Disco Elysium or Outer Wilds
Not even a Crosscode
hey, nothing in 2020 was standing out
no E3, no blizzcon , no PAX
no gamescon
I'm kinda grateful for the games that we've got
True, Im not faulting gamedevs
Certainly not after the crunch a lot of them had to go through
certainly not
I didnt even like OW1 tbh
For me its, lets see
Ys IX, Tales of Arise
Rise
Returnal looked interesting
Possibly AA7
Deathloop, yeah
Maybe GG Strive
Forbidden West, ruined king
ruined king too
gotta see what riot forge can do
I kinda want OW2 for one thing: the hyped up "campaign" mode
Because I hate the multiplayer mode
Oooh, maybe the Sands of Time remake
If they learned from Battlechasers nightwar tho
That was a great game put down for excessive grind and lack of group xp
Oh and Disco Elysium with voice acting
*More voice acting
Im still shocked they got David Mitchell for that
Is Disco Elysium close to the SGG formula or not?
Lol no
Kinda caught my attention a while back
Nope
DE is an adventure game where the dialogue carries the game
Its a RPG in the most literal sense
VERY well written dialogue
You walk around, interact with things and do skill checks
Its entirely about its writing
Which is strong
so not linear per se
Its relatively linear, you do have side stuff though
But yeah its just really densely written
Seriously. No one mentioned Hitman 3 as a 2021 game?
Never played Hitman series , I'm not that Stealthy to play Hitmans
I'm still going to give it a shot
I like stealth games, but I play them non-lethally usually
Which I dont believe is an option with Hitman
Hitman is more social engineering that stealth
90% of the time you are in fact not hidden
I see you, low chaos dishonored ending player
(I hate the clockwork soldiers mission with a burning passion)
you haven't played two yet?
Oh Atelier Ryza 2 too
Plus Edge of Eternity
you need to
Resident Evil VIII
Imagine you can face enemies and still knock them neutralized
Warhammer darktide too
i'm playing vampire the masquerade bloodline and i've been stuck in a creepy level for 4 days because i dont wanna go through it alone :(
I've seen news that the dude behind Dishonored: Harvey smith, is working on a game with some dishonored and prey devs
yeah a new title sounds good too
isn't the game called weird west or something like that
or is that a different "from the creators of dishonored and prey who do not work at arkane anymore"
weird west is different
Breaking news: Saito files a RO against Yoko Taro
finding myself some new games here https://www.polygon.com/gaming/2021/1/1/22175264/best-indie-video-games-2021-preview?utm_source=pocket-newtab-intl-en
long enough
Ys IX Demo is available apparently?

If my pc can run all SGGames, It definitely should run Crosscode
I need to finish my backlog of games , or lackthereof
doom eternal and invisible inc. (+ replaying Watch dogs 2 why not)
hows tf to beat blood starved idiot in bloodborne
Do you have an item that's called something along the lines of Blood
if so, throw it to lure them into it and then you can kill it
throw the lure at the boss?
Haha that's where I raged quit Bloodborne also
more like at a wall
I really wish they port Bloodborne to PC
someone said a bad word
xd
...
lol
yes they did
im weak
probably will never happen even though i also wish for this
yeah, can't have male chicken on this vegan server
60fps bloodborne would be such a blessing
no ccky, no ccktail
poison mechanic blows
yeah just so I don't have to buy a PS4 to play it.
I like Dark Souls but hate the setting
Bloodborne got me interested because the setting is cool
hate the setting huh
well, I may attempt to use the roostertail
i mean, dark souls includes a lot of different settings
but I only have so many
so maybe save it for the end of the fight
cvuz I can get it to like
1/4 health
get a fire upgrade on your weapon
blood starved beast almost made me drop bladebarn
on your sword...
ok I propose to you: what if I die and lose all my fire paper
hmmm, I'm not accepting that one , chief
aii lets try
mainly because I asked someone how to beat the boss
hey hmm, anyone here knows of the game Crying Suns? ๐
(it's going to be free on epic games and it seems interesting but I always like to hear/see from folks that actually play it)
np
absolute
I really need to check out hitman
do you recommend starting with 1
With one you mean Hitman (2016) then yes
doom '16
lol
Ok so
E1M1 STARTS PLAYING
nuh uh , you ain't going nowhere
~~I'm not ready to boot up a ps4 that was exhausted from too much online games ~~
guess I'll send the request to download it whenever I turn it on
y six
yeah busby is just for unlocking the optional dungeons
They really upped their game on this
Congratulations, you have a Dark souls + Victorian era style
anyone remember this game well enough to direct me
Ok so, I highly recommend you play Ys VIII now
And then IX when it comes out
From the demo the gameplay is sick
@fiery cobalt bloodborne right? Explore the cathedral
Yep. After Blood Starved Beast a door opens in the Cathedral
Go through there and make your way to a deep hole. Then carefully drop to the bottom
There is also a secret area there
Haven't played DS but aren't they just medieval dark fantasy world?
After dropping, kill the monster and make your way through the village
Then just ride the elevator and unlock the gate for a shortcut
Defeated ||Martyr Logarius|| today
Also made my way to ||Micolash||
Doing a Saw Cleaver run ๐
Anyway, did anyone here play OMORI?
I wanna buy it but want to see some opinions on it
a few have! such as albino, and misty, and someone else
i will not ping because people get upset at pings. reasonable and understandable
Wallpaper-material game
Yes
ah yes aggy likes gris
It's also the only game that made me cry
count me in
GRIS ending was.... ||something else||
It was a roller coaster for my emotions
I started smiling, then tears started to flow, then crying and then more crying, then smiling while tears dropped
It was... Beautiful
No game ever did that
It's a masterpiece to me
why is it that a singing girl(s) can make me ||tear up|| twice?
So much emotion without any words
Maybe because she found her ||voice|| after losing it, just like she had to find herself and peace in her broken world
I love the symbolism
I play a lot of indie games lately
a girl who lost her voice, and presumably|| found it in her broken world ||
Hylics, Hylics 2, Dujanah, Beeswing
I never played a lot of indie games
caught on SGGames
Indie games are the best
Hollow Knight is my favorite game
Hades is my favorite Roguelite
i love indie devs so much. i've said it before but they often offer good graphics and great music
I'd really suggest you play the other games from SGG
I can assure you one or two will get your attention very nicely
They also put so much time and love into their games
I've got my eyes on Transistor
yessss. i think the second last indie game i played was inside. amazing. i've never played a better game
death and taxes sounds familiar
Why does that look like papers, please
I've played and watched so much of that game
Well it plays kinda the same
But i like it
Actually, I'm working on translating the game ๐
now you've caught my attention
Since some people just don't speak english that well
which language are you going to translate it to?
Czech
interesting
There are also other languages in the work
I just love to help
Anyways I should go, I'm getting super tired
alright
Byye, have a great rest of the day
likewise
It's 1 AM here ๐
sleep well!!
3 am
Thaaanks
dw im going to be out now
btw, according to Quantum Break, 5 Jan 2021 should've been the end of time
guess, since we're still alive, 2021 is not so bad this far
You liked GRIS. Play RiME
@polar dragon, TW101 is by the same developer as Bayonetta.
Basically, you play as a group of 100 superheroes called the Wonderful 100 who can combine into weapons called Unite Morphs that you summon by drawing the appropriate shape with the right stick (think ลkami), and you fight a group of alien invaders called GEATHJERK. Itโs a stylish-action game like Bayonetta, and its camera is isometric like Hadesโs.
The Wonderful 101 originally released on Wii U in 2013 and bombed due to lack of advertising, a low install base, and critics not โgettingโ the game. The Wonderful 101: Remastered is essentially a re-release with some minor performance adjustments for Switch, PS, and PC thatโs intended to give the game a better chance at success. Nintendo still owns the IP, but they allowed Platinum to self-publish the remaster on multiple platforms, which is pretty cool.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wc-vKszMtH4
This is a really good combo video that shows off the gameโs mechanics pretty well. Iโm fairly close to the creator of the video (Iโm credited at the end as โspecial thanksโ) โheโs a very talented player, and I love what heโs done for the game.
Iโve 100%-ed it, but Iโm working on getting the highest rank on every level across every difficulty. Itโs very fun.
This was a 2 month long project that took way longer to get done but I'm happy I was able to get around to this. I knew the moment The Wonderful 101: Remastered was announced I was gonna have to do something like this. I still don't consider myself the most astoundingly amazing and stylish W101 player out there (heck, I still use sword for dashi...
The video shows off every main weapon in the game except Unite Bowgun; it only appears as Unite Immorta, which is basically its super form.

Is there any mmorpg game with a slavery system in it ?
that's a very specific question wth
I've been looking for one since forever ?
what the...

sims 4
no
mmorpg
I bought Doom eternal
pogg
Doom eternal is one of my fav games it's so good
the intro is a bit hard, but I sink my time and eventually killing demons left and right
and then
||I met a marauder||
MMORPG with that system would be quite... unlikely
Can you describe the slavery system in it ?
||Agony he doesn't get any easier ||
i think there is really good way of killing him in like 3 shots
but i'd assume it would take master timing
what mode u on?
hurt me plenty
Fair fair
I tried the easy mode cause why not
it bored me to death
hurt me plenty is a sweet spot
i think ultra violent was my sweet spot
the bosses in ultra violent can be a bit of a pain but other all it's a joy
though I find some of the mods are not necessarily useless
just
I rarely think of them
example Machine gun's micro missile and shotgun's rapid fire
you know what gonna sink my time again
pogg
I loved playing Starcraft, but probably been 20 years since I last touched it
My impression from that game is it wasn't half-bad

But not the genre-defining game that Starcraft 1 was
But SC BW was never genre defining imo. It started esports, not RTS.
SC II esport scene was great, until very recently when Blizzard decided to drop the support especially in term of balancing.
Yeah but that's what got the vast majority of people into RTS

Anyone have recommendations for other fun rogue-likes/lites? Preferably with a good spell/cast/magic system
i like Slay the Spire a whole lot
hmm
wizard of legend?
I recently picked up Synthetik and it's really really good, the backdrop is more of a scifi though, with AIs, guns, etc
weird tech nonsense can count as magic
yeah it could be
skul the hero slayer
Slay the Spire is really good to play from time to time. It's a deckbuilding rogue-like with different builds to choose from for each character (4 in total). Full run is around an hour.

been a while since Churlington put a CP77 link, so i'm going to do it for him
they HAVE to
it's incredibly popular, they failed to put it in iceborne, this Rampage thing sounds an awful lot like Frenzy,
moments later hey, we've made RE4 remake so we all can cash in with your nostalgia
Shoutout to my favourite glitch of all time
Song: "Grande Dossologia"
The great one grants you a ship most cursed
found this from le namesearch. omori is amazing
@sharp raft IRT video games about norse mythology, i think jotun is pretty cool
its half exploration and half huge boss fights, and it has gorgeous art style and music
I like the concept, probably gonna buy it
Anyone know if doom eternal is worth it?
if u liked 2016 but thought it could use more bonkers movement tech, then yes
He gets a sword in eternal right?
ya
but the game also kinda demands u git gud at the bonkers movement tech
like, that's the major change
Demands as in like you need to know how to washdash in melee or need to know as in you need to know how to use cast in hades?
somewhere in between, a little closer to the cast end but mostly dead center
well, ok, u dont have to MASTER the movement stuff just to reach crebits, but for higher difficulty or finding secrets then yeah kinda
Okay so exactly like cast. Not needed but really helpful
yeah, like, it's not a prohibitive skill floor, it's just they clearly put a lot of work into it and intended to get a lot of mileage out of it
How many hours did you get out of the game?
i didn't acualy play myself, but vinny's playthrough took about 12? hours, maybe 15
Yikes only 15ish hours
and famously, vinny's exactly good enough at every game to make you feel like a dumbass for how long you spent on it
And it's a $60 game
i played it on ultra violence and first playthrough took me a bit longer than 15 hours
it really shines on repeat playthroughs at higher difficulties imo
@wary kestrel You just threw me back to the Binding of Isaac days with that Mega Stan comment
lmao
mega satan
i havent played the game for a few years, heard a new update will come in November
It'll come. Eventually. Sometime.
^
31st march
i think i might want to replay Spore
It's suspiciously close to April Fools'.
On Steam page recently it says release date on December 31st.
But then they said it was a place holder for a teaser trailer, which itself got delayed xD
Yes, I donโt remember them mentioning an update date
I'm bracing myself for more item bloat.
Please Edmund, no one wants more plan C
Please put in something that is actually useful.
add in a mom transformation
i might seriously main HH for the first time based on the demo
I haven't tried every weapon yet
but I've played switch axe
wow
I never thought they'd cut down the movement value
i'm banning myself from using charge blade this time, it's been my main weapon for 4 games running
i keep trying to take up other things, i just keep coming back to CB
it's always one weapon for story, everything else in endgame for me
I wanna try HH
later
prob
where my swaxe gang at
I'll probably main GL for Rise, i had a blast (pun not intended) fiddling with it in Iceborne
Bout to dual main SA and HH like I do in every game
tbh all I know right now is that I'm really gonna try to not use CB at all
Tried doing that with swaxe. I just cant
Ended up using a lot more swaxe when iceborne dropped
Those new moves were godsend
Swax on iceborne is prob the best in the franchise
Power axe playstyle is really fun
yeah finally axe mode is viable
the problem with CB is that there's nothing in the game more satisfying than getting a KO by guard pointing a monster charging at you
Lance now put a lot more reward with guard timing
Effort put into making SA axe mode viable feels a lot like their apology for the demon riot disaster from gen and GU
Even though I still mained it then, thank god that's dead now
arguably best run, definitely best game, of agdq 2021 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uOmRm7n54w

and 32 gigs of ram
I've been wanting to upgrade to 3000 series but well....
can't get the dang card
Unlucky
also apparently my motherboard is 3.0 anyways
1080ti ? that's still fine
so I'd have to upgrade that to
Doesn't matter
yeah 1080ti does the job for now, runs great
3080 cards are 4.0 so my motherboard wouldn't support them
Pcie 3.0 vs 4.0 foesn't matter
at least so I've heard
It wouldn't use the advanatage
I have a 3080
well why upgrade if I don't get the advantage then?
kinda like a SATA 3 on a SATA 2 port
It doesn't make a difference
or USB 3 on a USB 2
oh so not like a make or break type thing?
Dude
certain stuff
like new PCI-E NVME SSDS
But for GPUs, I can't really say for sure
99% of the time the 3080 doesn't use enough bandwidth to be bottlenecked by pcie 3.0 rates
But even during those 1% moments of high loads, it'll only make a few percentile units difference anyway
So badically no
For 3080 and below, it dosn't matter
and raytracing and all that good stuff
knowing my luck I'd pre-order next gen and it'd have some awful issue
cool, but early
Then your best bet is probably one of the rumored 3080-ti's
3080 ti will probably happen
There's a few RT supported games regardless
There's actual rumors now, not just speculations
I'm guessing you're not a competitive player , are you ?
Ye, ofc. But, the performance of a 3080 in traditional rasterization is fenominal anyway
Spelling is hard after drinking, alright?
I haven't been caught up lately with RT games
I mean
yeah , I'm not minding spell problems (not a native anyway so why bother)
To me, cyberpunk and minecraft are thr main ones
Nice
I have a 1650, and CP77 is just making my pc a last gen console
Haha, ouch
3080ti has been confirmed by asus listing the card already
so has a 3060 skew
didn't optimize it yet, so I'll do the Geforce Experience and check it out
I don't get the 3060 one tho
there's rumours of a 3050 and a 3050ti hitting the market
nvidea wants to compete with the innevatible 6700/6700xt
Why on earth would a 3060 need 12Gb of Vram if a 3080 only has what was it, 8 or 10?
8
Yea
8, they ain't going to waste that on a xx60
they used to split them in half and confuse consumers
3gb one and 6gb one with the 1060
so it's not like nvidea haven't had a track record for doing this kind of stuff
Since the last half gig was so slow compared to the rest
It was still a good gpu for the money at the time tho
Maxwell was fine back in the day
Y
the one thing I find really funny is, nvidea are chasing higher rasterisation performance soon after the whole drama with Hardware Unboxed
remind me again what they've done with unboxed?
Well, see there's a good reason for it
oh yes, they took his reviews or what?
It's because RT isn't implemented in 99.5% of games and they aren't THAT srupid
nah, they got an email from nvidea saying they were no longer getting review samples because they where focusing "too much" on rasterisation performance
when RT is still in less than 1% of titles
There are rumours that graphics card price is increasing soon
and HU have had dedicated RT videos
They pulled a mao zedong and told hardware unboxed that he wasn't showing what they wanted him to show so they refused to give him more reviewer samples
at this rate a laptop might have more values than your custom PC
in the uk absolutely parts are going to increase in cost
Scalping but the companies do it instead, weee
there's other factors in play here
mostly related to taxes of importing stuff from china
Because hardware already costs so much in my country
so laptop prices will also increase
I got my 3080 for what's it called
"Base" value
Can't remember the term
Is it retail?
Idk, anyway
Same as nvidias base model graphics cards
And it cost me 9000 sek
Which is equivalent to 1092$
Ray tracing was Nvidia's Chekhov's gun
and they just say "meh , this dude is really caring about it , and so we're not giving you samples"
it's not a rumor, it's a reality
even the increase is happening with AMD GPUs too
yay more taxes for something that's already taxed a huge amount ๐
New Dawn finished
Yay
Next one Grand Guilds
AKA Final Fantasy tactics and Slay The Spire on a blender

||https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/498791528689565699/797332726830071808/unknown.png|| (Dead Cells spoilers) did a thing
I don't know what that is but I am glad you did a thing.
Tried to get under 19 minutes but I accidentally forgot to grab a key which cost me like 20 seconds
Beaten ||Ludwig the Accursed/the Holy Blade|| yesterday in Bloodborne
It was an awesome boss
Perfectly balanced
Pretty excited for Lady Maria
I heard that Kos is super hard
he is
i have a confession, i never actually defeat kos
i gave up after 383394586th time
i had no problem with the game, because I played it once about a half year ago on PS+, then my save got deleted
did you finish it?
Can't you summon an NPC? I know it's not as great as killing the boss yourself, but I find it still really fun
the base game final boss felt pretty easy after you got out of the DLC area
yes, but summon had to help me on ||Gherman||
I dont remember if there is/I use npc summon for that fight
cant really find player summon either since I played the game couple years after release lol
Like my first time i summoned an NPC for ||Ebrietas|| and it was real fun, a few days back I did it again because of the good memory
Yup, it's hard to find someone. That's why I summon NPCs
the nightmare inducing boss
you made me want to start another playthrough ๐
Only real problem are the damn lasers
hate those
This is crazy. Just dropped in the end of that Celeste run
Seriously
Im just watching and I feel more stressed than the guy running it ๐
I'm thinking this would be a good place to post this, but I did a personal top games of 2020 blog on Giant Bomb. Heads up, a Certain Rogue game set in Greek Mythology appears somewhere on this list: https://twitter.com/TRBucket/status/1347895532249886721
@stable kindle I don't want to upset some people here but : || Evelynn supremacy or not? ||
i mean i love her and i dont mean just kda, runeterra eve is tasty and i like her lore. i dont play league though, i just indulge lore respectfully from a distance
I see
Seraphine is bae and you can't @ me.
does so anyway

she's fine if it weren't for the whole KDA to league shoehorning
her champion theme is genuinely nice
and no, she isn't a sona v2
Someone said 8/9 recently released male champions are thirst trap.
viego hahahaha
With the odd 1 being Ivern lol
yes, Aphelios appealing for the emos
im still not over spirit blossom thresh, who are you, why do you have skin
its so funny
Oh yeah ty
the dance is so chill
First time I saw that I legit asked my duo wth that was
I would have a 1 hr version on repeat
Like seriously?
unironically
thresh can be a pretty boy, as a treat
smh no casual style skinlines
hope you guys are ready for the year of the ruined king cause its gonna be a ride
fox already saw me going buckwild on lore last night
for sureee
:D I'm hyped for Mundo rework
absolutely not focusing on how the mundo vgu will look and play
of course you are, i see who you play most of the time
Oh lol you can?
yes
:3 Mundo best girl
Fiddle and voli were best VGUs, even better than 2019 champs
let's see what they'll do with mundo
I even mained Voli after the VGU
I'm really liking it so far.
2019 champions are either too op , or borderline useless (pantheon outside of the support meta)
not that really useless, but can't hold up to the champs he used to beat (top laners)
Champion skill descriptions are getting longer with every new patch.
shudders in Senna and Aphelios
the nightmare that is Aphelios' tooltips before the whole cleaning up in mid season 10
-how are you winning with Aphelios?
-i'm QWQWing until it works
theyre adding aphelios to lor and i was just watching the preview like
they even made him even 200 years-er (in terms of how it will take to master him)
lor?
legends of runeterra, the card game
ye
right. im too scared of starting that game.
Hearthstone sucked the life and money out of me
at least League only sucked the life
a lot of hearthstone players moved to lor recently actually
for the time being its a lot more generous

i only dabble though because i dont actually like playing card games competitively bc trying to keep up with metas just gives me a headache
not a single cent will make the enemy cards better
it's all thru grinding
lor
ok
the only thing you spend money on is like. visuals really. your board, guardian, card backs and stuff
^
oh really
just like league
yes
now im tempted
because shelling out $20-25 every 3 months for HS expansion is expensive.
but that seems more... resonable?
they're making an expansion every three months or so
I think there's cheesy ones
like some Ionia cards
God, I hate Elusive cards with a burning passion
they pop up on the subreddit not too infrequently when im skimming through lol
elusive is basically just flying in mtg
there's a ton of interesting mechanics in some cards
oh yeah definitely
i dont keep up with hearthstone cause that never interested me but fox, there was a hearthstone exodus to lor just a few months ago and a lot of ex-hearth players praising lor
so its def smth worth looking into
yeah im looking into now that I know cards are free.
i love collectible card games but I couldn't keep up with the purchase rate
