the grind isn't too bad once you get your first handful of reincarnation and get a rhythm going, I think the start is always one of the more tedious things. I like a lot of the things 5 added, specifically the cheat shop where you can adjust your earnings and skill gain, and enemy levels. dropping everything to pump it into your exp gains and then buffing up enemy levels eases a lot of the early game tedium
at least we can always count on the lv99 quirk for quick early grinding lol

This is one of the reasons they were already able to show actual footage of the game instead of CGI trailers. In comparison, revealing a Final Fantasy game with actual game footage has not happened since Final Fantasy XII back in 2003. FFVII Remake did not even officially start as a project that it had been already announced with a CGI teaser, Nomura famously was not told he was the director of the game. Not to mention, Naoki Yoshida, the producer of FFXVI, has never missed a deadline in the release of a game, expansion or patch until COVID unfortunately hit everyone.

I maintain that if you want to sell an RPG (action though it may be), it's in your audience's best interest that you convey to your audience that it looks like an RPG and quacks like an RPG and not like DMCV, as it were. They could very well be avoiding spoilers! If that's the case, it's an unfortunate decision imho and if it's the 'look bad first to generate positive buzz later' approach it's unfortunate and also annoying.
