It's basically a world where everything is connected but not in a cyber watchdogs way, just... in an artsy way? idk but you can hack faucets and make it dispense 'water' that gives you an energy boost n stuff. it's quite forgiving

one of my first thoughts was ‚oh this is quite playable‘, it‘s a remaster ofc but with my very limited experience of playing older games, there were a buncha games I didn‘t like how they played (arena/daggerfall, system shock, to some extent doom, codename 47) and the half-life just worked. Quake feels similar to that level of playability

90% of the game is spent not changing her mind
Hell the epilogue starts with her refusing to change her mind essentially
Refusing to accept that what she has is enough, refusing to let go and such
There's not enough moments of doubt or reasons to change deliberated upon to really sell the ending
I get what they were going for and it's Fine I just think it's told badly
Which includes the faction she finds there that just Exists and are barely treated like people lmao

the way it keeps going and going increasingly more violent is what ultimately also shows how pointless all of that violence is

In fact you are led to believe she might be unsure of the path she's on due to not knowing the truth of things, untill Nora, where she confirms she knew all along what was going on

Making her choices to do so matter a lot more
