it's a cheapo thing but it's got two scroll wheels

only drops with RGB on

which... would've been nice to know before i ordered a 5m long extension cable and a bunch of cable managment... things to route it all the way around my desk and under the tray

Well I have beat RE Village and bloody hell that final hour is indeed...something. I dunno how to even put it really
From ||meeting Chris at junkyard|| it all goes from already 50ish to 100 instantly
But I loved it, of course there are some questions I ask, on top of them being "Why is Chris so dumb" but eh, Capcom gonna Capcom I suppose
Overall I gotta say game was fantastic, but honestly I think I liked 7 a bit more. Maybe because Village is just...more of the same, but with merchant?
Even pacing was same, it felt like they copypasted 7 and just put a different wallpaper on with how sections played out
Nonetheless, great 10 hours on standard difficulty, now I take a day off to prepare for Replaced/Hades II combo

8 was, in many ways, trying imitate 4

Europe, monsters, wide arsenal of guns, weapon upgrades and treasure, you go through distinct zones with a boss fight at the end of each chapter

I do enjoy the end section though, ||playing as Chris was surprisingly fun, and it was satisfying to unload everything you might've saved up as Ethan on the final boss||

IGRS (Indonesia Gaming Rating System) was implemented a while back and it was a [REDACTED] show. It inaccurately rated games. GTA San Andreas was rated for 3+ while games like Space for the Unbound was rated 18+. But that's not the issue, the issue was there were games that was considered RC (Refused Content) that pretty much will be GONE in Indonesia's steam page for whatever the [REDACTED] reason. P5R, BG3, Exp33 were among them. That was my point of consideration. BUT if you already have it in your library, you can still download and play it (for the forseeable future). The situation was so bad that valve rolled it back (thankfully) but the system is still getting worked on.

Was pragmata likely to get RC-ed? Probably not. But do I trust my government that banned spongebob because it was a considered bad influence for children? Hell to the no.

and the trailers were all smoke and mirrors

i was so hyped for this game i actually bought a pc for it - the first (and probably last) time

but then the trailer came out
and on the first glance - pure hype
inmeasurable levels of hype

but then the demo came out
and it was atrocious - borderline unplayable

and after playing that demo i went back to that trailer frame by frame and realized that it was all smoke and mirrors
perfectly stitched together to hide how unfinished the whole thing was

and that's fine, right? that sort of thing happens all the time
but then the game came out and... not much has changed

there's some stuff there, a fence, some rubble, bits of a train track and what looks to be a gate

nope - you're supposed to hide behind this barely visible rock on the right next to that tiny green thing

because that obvious bit on the left leads to what i presume was supposed to be a dead end near that cliff, but...

there's no invisible walls there
and you can hop right on top of it so easily that i genuinely thought this was intended way - especially since it's next to that sniper tower

but no - that cliff was supposed to keep you in bounds, once i got on top of it i could roam free around the whole level, breaking scripting and just doing whatever

3 is a direct sequel to 2 which is a sequel to reboot sooo I would recommend playing previous ones before

Played all 3, reboot is great, 2 is...fun, but goes into weird RPG direction and 3 is Doom Eternal at home

the weapon upgrade system in this game is backwards

instead of having decent weapons and upgrading them to be better
all your weapons suck ass and you have to invest a lot of money to get them to the dizzying heights of "pretty cool, i guess"

and there's some useless upgrades in there too (same goes to your skills), so it's easy for the new player to just waste resources on the useless crap and then be stuck with lame weapons and lackluster skills

Beat Prologue and first Chapter of Replaced and damn, I still cannot believe how pretty this game is, and the transitions plus camera movement, it's cinematic as hell, got a taste of combat and movement and uhhh yeah the camera panning out and hoping you will spot some tiny ledges do cause a certain problem

Pragmata 3.5 hours in mini review:

Hope you like puzzles cause BOY you gotta do 'em to deal damage.
The gameplay is heavy on resource management, timing and CC. Feels a bit like Doom Eternal-y, but more on the thinking side.
At some point, it reminded me of Lost Planet and it made me sad.

Haven't found a standout OST but I like the one for the base hub.

Graphic performance is great! Running on Intel Arc B580 on 1080p native, high settings, RT on (as per recommended) 60+ FPS most of the times. Dip below when the camera is panning on a new area. It does eat up 7.14 gigs VRAM last I checked.

The writing currently is bright and positive (and that's what I need currently). It's nice to have an MC that isn't self-deprecating for once. Also the banters are really cute. I've heard some say this was written by someone that love their kids. I wholeheartedly agree.

actually - i'll explain it anyway just in case someone here hasn't played it

so - Mr. Orochi Zilla - he's a bit of a villain in this series
at one point wang and zilla face each other and initially - it was just a cutscene in the first release

people got so mad that FWH patched the game and turned it into a bossfight
as lame as the fight itself is - it was a nice gesture, i'll admit

but here's the thing - at the end zilla does this thing where he stands in place and regenerates health, right?
and you have to run up to him and cut him to pieces

the thing is, on higher difficulties health and damage scaling is so scuffed that with every hit you land he manages to regen almost all damage before the next hit

so it's like - you swing your sword once, hit him for - let's say - 50 damage
and before the next hit lands he already regens 49

it sucks... so much

so this time around i decided to count how many hits this dude takes and made... this

i really tried. i really tried to genuinely like her i wanted to root for her but there is a big difference between "lone wolf who just wants to be seen and appreciated" and just like "pushy coworker that persistently sexually harasses her boss" and all of the rest of her backstory that goes back and forth so rapidly i could not find it actually interesting

and it could have been so good. dispatch spoilers ||if you fail to be a Good Mentor and you dont romance her, she kills shroud, steals the astral pulse and throws robert a wink before disappearing. and later when mandy asks robert what he thinks shes going to be up to next, he can say "maybe shes going to come after me, or she wants me to come after her"||
i wanted that game. can i get that game instead
