For me it was on a bench at the far fields fast travel

Perhaps your best bet is bench around areas near or in ||greymoor|| and then save quit continue to maybe have it spawn

|| i only had the four registered, but you can only encounter 3 of the crow enemys in act 3 i believe. I finished their entrys, with hornets comments. Afterwards i had the invitation next to a bench ||

due to a quest i never completed i had 2 of 3 f||lintbeetles and the quest and the enemy dissapers compleatly in act 3||, but i found a way to edit your savefile so took care of that

or else i would be permanently stuck on 1 not being finished

Anyway post any% I ||rushed double jump to have all movement, collecting what I could in choral chambers/cogwork/mt fay along the way, rushed wanderer crest (OP), grabbed bone bottom wishes, did those while collecting fleas etc., got beast crest, handed in wishes||

||didnt have all of them done but went to bellhart to just continue grabbing wishes. From there time to clear out greymoor (one of the wishes is the craws), got reaper, threadstorm, went into wisp thicket to clear that out early||

||instead of handing wishes in, I went to sinner's, cleared out sinner's (grabbed the wish there), and went into bilewater. Beat groal to grab the soul and the organ wish in ducts||

||handed in some wishes I had done by that point (not the sinner's one), and made my way back to songclave, grabbed wishes there||

||into vault (clear all there is to do there in terms of collectibles) drop down into bilewater, grab twisted bud||

||with bud, clear shellwood, hand in all pollips and the bud to get cursed, fix the curse, hand in sinner's wish as you buy the curse cure from them, make pompillo while at yarnaby||

||realized I only had one simple key at this point and I need 3. So time to set my first steps into blasted steps. Get all collectibles there, except near the bellbeast, cause we go into karas first. Clear karas (simple keys now at 2) except for the conchflies (I did do voltwyrm for the tool), go back into blasted steps from the karas shortcut, I did last judge cause I dunno if I gotta for the fleas, which made me able to clear the grand gate area of checks. Now also clear the top half of steps. Buy a simple key anywhere||

||with 3 keys, clear wormways (sharpdart, tool), clear deep docks, and by extension most of far fields (cause the simple key area ends there anyway), kill the forebothers cause why not||

||assemble the cog heart pieces and clear what you need in the areas they are in - I should not right at the start I grabbed the great taste of pharloom and have been doing that, and karas was the last part of that I needed, so I did the delivery at this point and got a weapon upgrade||

||high halls, grab the rosary cannon, beat the automaton, then I did whiteward, which led to clearing underworks and grabbing all items from architect||

||first sinner was most of what was left, all fleas were found once I got to ducts (waited for the vendor in songclave to go to memorium), also handed in the seared etc. wish on that visit.||

||farmed rosaries for like an hour, emptied vendors of all I needed, bound eva cause I had enough memory locket things, silk and soul spawned, started act 3||

||act 3 was just what's left, 4 mask shards are act 3 only, rushed the main plot to the hearts, got shaman crest, got the pinstress wish, got the shard in mt fay and best her, made the tool in mt fay too at this point. Got pale nails||

||got khann on the way to that oinstress fight cause you go to her home first which is near enough, did sprintmaster omw to the far fields heart, got the heart, benched near it, got the wish for the trapper ant, got him by benchwarping back there, nyleth was all that was left, everbloom my final %, end|| @faint hollow this is all I remember lmao

I mean, the dopamine comes after you have passed the learning curve and gotten good at the speedrun. Like its a struggle at first but mastering the movement and combat for speedruns (or just in general) ALWAYS feels good

it's kinda like souls games where you may feel frustration while learning the fights but it always feels really good to absolutely destroy a boss that you have mastered

The game was made for exploration, getting lost, crafting builds, not trying to shave off every second by getting frame perfect inputs, resetting animations, skipping entire regions, skipping any interesting build items

Sekiro is fun to me because I can reach the final boss in like a dozen hours or so, without having to do annoying true ending stuff, and without having to sidequest for items to not feel underpowered

All those enemies in the way? just sprint past them. Basically nothing but bosses and traversal, and some backstabbing along the way

games like Lies of P and Dark Souls, I'd have to run past or kill all those zombies/robots/whatever again and that sounds kinda tedious to me

I mean if you don't enjoy silksong speedruns that's fine, but its another thing entirely to say that the game isn't fit for speedrunning. HK has one of the most dedicated speedrun communities of all time and silksong lends itself to speedruns even more than HK did, so it makes sense that the game already has such a devoted speedrun playerbase

hell the devs themselves have stated in the past that speedruns are one of their favorite things about the community. They even facilitated speedrunners by allowing them to down patch to older versions for skips and stuff

there's a ton of skips in HK that are possible but none really break the game in ways that seem truly unintended

But i still dont see how it would be speedrun material in the competitive form with wrs that people think are reasonable
One bad interaction caused by rng or some enemies lining up annoyingly or just not dodging one attack fast enough and oop lost entire minutes

And you just end up trying to maximize every little step u take for some high score
Literally every step
I heard ppl talking about jumping before the "wounded" state in stuff like moss grotto, simply to get a bit of distance

that's why people come up with consistent ways for these skips and also fail safes in case they go wrong. the beastfly pogo in marrow and that iron helmet guy pogo in deep docks for example are 100% consistent if you know the setup and have practice

ive been watching expedition 33 runs here and there, not as intensely as i would other games but theyre kinda amazing lol. skipping entire party members and areas, and loading saves to confuse the game so much that it totally does not know what to do and just gets u past it all

the trick I have learned for the last wave of high halls is to treat them like Oro and Mato. get them both on one side and you'll notice that they basically never attack both at once and instead take turn to attack. parry is great for that fight bc you can tank damage and hit both at once
