BL3 feels like...
imagine making a driving game with some really cool handling models and some really cool cars

and now imagine yourself forgetting to put any tracks in that game

that's how playing bl3 feels like

also - how they keep screwing up the inventory more and more with each new game is beyond me

it's like
the inventory in bl1 was ugly - sure - but it was the most usable
then bl2 was a bit clunky but it still worked fine, for the most part
bl3 was pretty but it was the clunkiest of them all
and the upcoming bl4 inventory just looks like dogpoop

swap file is a linux thing (windows has something like that too but it's called differently)

basically you're just downloading more ram

you can set up a swap file to any reasonable size and when you fill up your ram it starts spilling out into the swap file, instead of just straight up crashing your os

it's a pretty useful thing especially when working with some rather heavy software

or something with memory leaks

it makes your pc slow down to a crawl instead of just dying so that you can still react and stop whatever is hogging up all your ram

I liked it for quite some time, gameplay is basic but works; i just couldn't keep up with the story where every new story beat is 'because of <new concept introduced a minute ago> to continue the story you have to <do something tragic>'

gameplay is basically rotating between four ppl on your squad and deal damage with elemental reactions

it's just that with a bazillion people on your squad, the balancing is kinda eh. it supports a ton of different playstyles but some are simply better than others

not to mention some characters being just terrible at everything

Combat was mind-numbingly boring to watch, especially when you grind the same boss over and over and over

I also don’t like the character designs but it’s okay because I can just not play it :)

in one of them there's a disc, and when you pick up that disc it unlocks a genuine full-fledged cookie clicker clone in your inventory screen

secrets so secret they don't count towards your secret counter and they have the dumbest crap
the kind of stuff that devs sometimes do for fun and don't intend on releasing them
like you can find a grenade mod that turns your grenades into some sort of water balloons or something?

but you basically have to get out of bounds to get any of those
