i use it off and on for playing Magic the gathering and it works incredibly well for that, there's tong of really neat stuff on there and it's relatively simple to make new stuff for it. Table top sim is great

the voice chat on there and the server connection are the two downsides, due to lag it can slow down then speed up voice chat making it turn very robotic. so its good to have a discord voice channel or some other type of communication. same with the 'tables' occasionally crashing and disconnecting everyone. but it autosaves fairly regularly and can be reloaded

meaning - you don't have to mess around with chaining buttons - all in-game actions are detected by steam input and you can bind them straight from steamos

i move with the left stick as usual but then look around with the right touchpad
interact is on X or... clicking the touchpad (since this is a thing i'm gonna be doing most often - i can do it without moving my thumb)
then i have sprint on L4 (left top paddle), jumping on R4 and crouching on R5
and L5 is for the weapon wheel
this way i don't have to touch any face buttons at all
so what do i do with my right thumb?

so - i'm on a different server
quite a few people are playing souls games there on and off
and there's this one dude who's attempting DS1R for the third time - this time swearing he's gonna finally finish it
so i - in my infinite wisdom - had a great idea of coming up with a local, server-wide password so that we could either help each other or invade the crap out of each other
i had a dream of creating this tight little community of chain backstabbers 
so we settled on a password, i got my steam deck out and made a new character
two hours in i had the zweihander +5. a fap ring, havel's ring and the weed shield
i got to blighttown, popped the cracked red eye orb hoping it would hit that other guy and... went to grab something to drink while i was waiting
and when i came back i was already in someone's game
i just didn't know who that was
thinking i just invaded one of our own guys i went out looking for him
and i found this poor low level dude being constantly peppered with toxic blowdarts from three different directions while running away from those fire breathing dogs guarding firekeeper's soul
so i jumped down and did a plunging attack (with a +5 zwei) and pancaked him leaving him with like... 15% health left tops
and then i moved back and started spamming the well what is it? emote at him while those toxic blowdart guys finished the job
one of the meanest invasions i've ever done
and then it turned out passwords don't work on crack invasions so i just completely ruined someone's day
god i love blighttown invasions
