slide - which gives you lots of horizontal momentum (cause it's all physics based)
hold it, once you feel you're losing momentum - do a normal jump to get off the ground while still keeping that speed
then turn 90 degrees mid air, do a side-dash to get you even further
and then rotate 90 degrees back to grab a ledge or something
and since it's all physics based - all this momentum stacks
and dashing is a bar that slowly refills and can be used partially and dodging is on a separate cooldown
so it's really fun doing all that while trying to master the timing to never run out of juice

literally just shoves you in there

so now you're playing as this dude Alcatraz
wearing Prophet's fancy nanosuit
and because of that everyone calls you Prophet because...
... your dude is a mute FPS protagonist and can't tell anyone they've got the wrong guy and that it's not his real name

there is way, way more players online
meaning - more chances for pvp and co-op! 
but then on the other hand there's also way more sweatlords
that alt+f4 halfway through a duel if they see they're losing
and if you didn't kill the four kings early on (and it's a rather hard late-game fight) then you can get around...

funny thing about ac7
i brought my steam deck to work today to show it off
and everyone was like

and then my boss walked in and saw i had AC7 on it and went "yeah no F THAT!" and walked out
cause i recommended it to him a while back and he got really into it
but he was getting his ass absolutely kicked
for like...
solid 6 months
until one time he woke me up at 2 am with a bunch of text messages raving about the game cause he finally finished it
and i was like "dude - do you want me to come to work tomorrow or not?"

cause the thing about ACs
even the old ones is that...
seeing and hearing all of it is one thing
but actually playing those bits
with no help from the game, no artifical setpieces
with all being up to your skill
is something else
this is the thing i really liked about 7
even in those super dramatic spectacle bits
the gameplay that is supposed to follow that is unrestricted
so you can still completely fumble even the climax of the entire story
the bit that is supposed to make you cry and what not
they're not railroading you towards a certain gameplay style
the game is confident in you and your skills
and it trusts that you have enough braincells to figure out what you're supposed to do and feel on your own
it's just a game
and that thing is so rare in modern AAA
