and bc the amount of effort that was put in it basically equals creating new game from scratch

but when it's just "we made raytracing and textures for 16k monitors for a fullprice", which is almost always a thing..

its a pretty easy game to pick up if you play casual, the highest skill barrier is aim and knowing the maps (and they have a minimap for the second one)

about this whole counter strike 2 (which is actually more like a... 5th counter strike... or 500th if you count all the different mods and what not)

and i was thinking about all the different ways they could ease new players in

and then it struck me

counter strike... already did that

in condition zero
it had a neat little mode where you had to play through this sort of tournament - going through all the major maps and playing against bots
BUT - you were earning points which you could spend between matches on different bots to play for your team

and then you had a bunch of challenges and what not
like "score 2 headshots in a single round" and what not

and then CZ lost missions (or whatever it was called) had an actual, proper, full on singleplayer campaign

which barely anyone played cause apparently it was trash (and developed by gearbox, i think) BUT

i'd love to see valve try that again

and yeah i know CS go as that tutorial thingy and pops up with operations every now and then

but i'd like to see a separate mode that's always available right from the start that just screams at you "YO! DUMMY! play this crap for a while before you get demolished in multiplayer"

today i learned you get attachments like in the old game in RE3 remake if you down Nemesis

one grenade downs him but all you get is extended pistol mag and a compensator silencer thing, the rest is just ammo or other common items

wish they had more of it as those 2 drops happen in the first chases and no more unique drops

i remember when i was playing BL2 with my friend, at some point we started to use hacking tools to get the nicest loot possible from the mission

and eventually we played the whole game with DLCs and presequel just for the story

without grinding
