soooo I just finished my first proper XCOM2 mission with my whole squad intact

well one soldier is gravely injured but they are all still alive

i really like this game, though it's really hardcore

something slow and experimental and with a relatively small target audience

but it's not much of a halloween game

as much as i like this game, it's an absolute time sink

and boom - there's the undead army sniper elite spinoff

the nazi zombies thing whatever it's called

and lo and behold - it's got co-op
and we... both have it, by some miracle

what a coincidence

i don't know much about this spinoff series
other than it has... zombies
and it's a cheap spinoff to an already rather cheap AA series

hope it's good

My favorite weapon is probably maliware shotguns the shockwave ones because the damage is insane and also the butcher is some legendary shotgun I found that stayed very functional for like ten levels of progression

Very rapid firing and fires 3 shots at once and it almost always restores or doesn't spend ammo when you hit an enemy and restores your health I didn't really figure out how it worked

I hate tediore because the only smgs that have higher damage output than theirs are legendary hyperion ones usually

I think the gameplay is Balanced but not super enjoyable, if you know what I mean

You get 6 time slots a day, but leaving your shop costs 1 by itself(which, from a balance sense makes sense because otherwise they could just put the ingredients shop in the brewing menu) They want you to plan out things like what potions you're going to make, when and what to sell and what to use, and its kinda overwhelming for me personally

I feel like I need to start a spreadsheet not just for the sake of optimization but for not stressing out about remembering what ingredients I need to buy.

which is not an endearing trait in a videogame

Also the game desperately needs the ability to sort your inventory, not just filter it

and both sort and filter the shop inventory

Don't think its a bad game, mind you, I'm just trying to do what you asked 😛

Gameplay is like, 5.5/10, but art is 9/10. I turned the music off a little early so I can't really rate it, the story is like, 7/10

Slay the Spire is the deck building roguelike to own. Putting a deck builder into a roguelike setting makes the process of refining your deck an ongoing, dynamic process, which I tend to really like over the typical TCG/Yu-Gi-Oh/Magic system of obsessively micromanaging your deck. Basically, if you like the two concepts on their own, you'll love them together

If you want a similar experience that's a bit...lighter and even more streamlined, I'd try out Dicey Dungeons instead

Both are really, really good though

honestly ever since swsh i just feel like they changed most of their pokemon designers to people who have never seen any pokemon before and the designs are getting less and less like actual pokeymans that or i'm old

also combat just feels boring even without their 'press button to instant win' gimmicks, so i am going to instead buy more smt games because those are as fun as they are difficult. gamefreak is just unable to capture the feeling of some godawful ugly creature pulling the worst stunts you have ever seen to destroy your entire perfectly set-up team

So I sent my second raven after that second ufo
Hit it hard and finished it off with a third raven
And it crash landed and… didn’t give me a crash site to raid?

This feels like the game wanted to give me a single crash site but spawned two UFOs by accident

I know xcom os glitchy but I’ve never seen it freak out like that in mission control

iirc multiple ufos spawning isn't a bug cause they do different things but i don't think i've ever had it just not create a crash site mission after intercepting

This game was hell bent on screwing me over today

First was that double ufo kerfuffle
And then the crash site I raided was a damn death trap

Not only the game spawned me near the crashed ufo
But on top of that all lmao spawns were all around me

And once I made contact with one group I didn’t even get a break to regroup and reload till I got rid of them all
It was just floaters and thin men and sectids and futbol and robo hentai lmaos and those energy dudes that regenerate health

I’ve never had a crash site like this

its honestly more on the pokemon company than it is game freak. merchandizing makes up like 75% of the revenue pokemon makes, the games dont make even half of the overall revenue pokemon as an ip brings in. but tpc has a really strict schedule with content and things need to be ready for new gens and new merchandise. yeah pokemon fans Should demand better quality from these games that WILL make buckets of money regardless but like. the devs are working with what they can. if tcp loosened up their content schedule we could probably get better quality games but thats not going to happen so long as the bulk of their revenue (the merchandise) revolves around the release of the games at their scheduled dates
