You’re right - I think mainly because Poseidon has boobs to increase damage to bosses and rupture. All of the slamming explosion/bonus dmg is also great for clear

I managed to get the faster spin attack thing on my first guan yu run. At first i forgot to unequip the acorn at the start, then I swapped to a god boon so i ended up not having the acorn for theseus or hades. I decided to equip the tooth but ended up not needing it.

Hades speedruns rely a bit on rng (GL trying to land a PB with a 5 room sack ) but mostly on optimizing enemy spawn, your pathing, how and what you eat, your economy etc.. It's not hard but you need to know your basics in and out, but it's really accessible 
( also you gotta learn how to deal with Forced Overtime 2 )

I dont have my switch on me so I cant post a screenshot right now, but I used the Aspect of Chiron, Aphrodite's attack, Dinoysus's Special and the Low Tolerance duo
That coupled with a deadalus hammer meant that I was getting 8 stacks of hangover on everything almost instantly and it was great
Oh, and I had the aphrodite boon that made weak enemies more vulnerable to damage

I honestly don't know how to possibly do this with a different weapon - this build's damage is pretty insane which helps a lot, but anything melee I might struggle even past 20 heat...

I finally got my 32 heat. It was with Zag sword, with the half-health lifesteal hammer. I hugged pure Athena, deflected everything, was invulnerable to everything I couldn't deflect, and ended up shutting down Heat 32 dad at full health with all 3 death-defies still up.

Got a quick midnight Hades run in, shield with bull rush shot is broken, but admittedly I was very impatient so I actually took a lot more damage than I needed to, which is where Positive Outlook and Athena's Aid came in handy. And before I got the distant bull rush shot, I had the explosive special, which was hugely helpful.
Poseidon's Breaking Wave was huge after I got the charged shot hammer. my bull rush shots would chunk healthbars. Probably also helped that I had the Poseidon boon that would let my special and attack do more damage for the first ten seconds. And there was something else from Poseidon, but I forget what

Since the boss rewards (that would have been Titan's Blood, Diamonds, Abrosia) become darkness

So... I did not go for it, but by the end of the run I ended up with a very impressive collection of damage mitigation. All that is missing was unshakable mettle and black out, but those aren't exactly the ones you just run into.

it's from charons well. I tried to hit something useful with the random item but it only gave me a net. It fills your call bar to 15% I believe at the beginning of the following encounters. Not the most useful against superdad.

I just had a very interesting run. I want to point out that I did qualify for fully loaded in the end and Charon did offer an artemis boon but I have to say that she did not cooperate. Sadness.
You can imagine the battlefield looked pretty cursed, dad was too busy dying to even summon the dog. Also I was so excited I forgot to put on the acorn or anything else and I just sat on the coin purse so with dad call this could have been even more ridiculous.
