This was a rollercoaster of a Hera bow run. Took a Chaos curse at the end of Tartarus (-health when using attack, but +1 cast afterwards), had to rely on special through most of Asphodel, at the end of it was just ignoring the curse and walking with 1 hp (Erebus gate with +50 max hp saved me).
In Elysium there were a lot of greatshields, which are the biggest enemy of crystal beam. Near the end of it finally got Crystal Clarity.
Styx is where the run finally shaped up. Got both Mirage Shot and Glacial Glare.
Crystal Beam on Hera bow - never again.

Thanks to @dreamy heart for the spear coaching, I consequently ignored all your advice and just went on to replicate the massive attack triple dashstrike build except this time I got hardcarried by life affirmation into almost 500 HP. On a sidenote I believe this took more attempts than escaping for the first time.

I treid a lot of plum runs, did not have much luck. Also Secure footing was really clutch I lost like three runs to the 150dmg urns that hades summons. this time they weren't so bad because that thing was epic and they dealt 15 dmg. thanks athena.

I don't really have much luck with Lucifer myself. Maybe it's because I insist on using Zeus boons on special to turn the bombs into proximity mines instead of going for actual high-damage traps.

If you're talking about aspect of beowulf, you actually had the right boons (aphro on special, poseidon dash, aphro/poseidon sweet nectar duo boon). However, naegling's board is at its best with charged flight hammer upgrade (which scales damage to big numbers) plus dread flight (which applies it quickly to 3-6 enemies). You can easily do 900-1200 damage against 3-6 enemies per throw of the special.
Try for that combo when you've unlocked more things.

Yeah, naegling's cast-loading is actually fool's gold. naegling's special combined with charged flight hammer upgrade + dread flight is incredible. charged flight is a must. dread flight is nice to have to further bolster it.
As you play the game more, you'll realize that the hammer upgrades can either massively improve your build or kinda weaken it. Most hammers range from positive to super positive. A few should be avoided depending on weapon aspect and/or boon combo.
You didn't know it but getting aphro special + posiedon dash (preferably with razor shoals)+ their sweet nectar duo boon is probably the optimal combo for naegling's board. But because you haven't seen what those 2 hammers do for naegling, you didn't realize how ideal that boon combo is for beowulf aspect (especially for extreme heat runs which are 40+ heat).

Giving Up restarts the run you're currently on, without generating a new seed. The old way to find a seed was to just die over and over until you get the start you want, then you never complete a run or respawn in house, you just Give Up if the run ends or you die. There's now a mod though, that lets you select the seed you want, which can then be saved and run on an unmodded game
