(well, I certainly do none of those, either). I'm not saying I never use a god keepsake, I just simply don't tend to. For Tart I Typically go for Chaos egg, sometimes Sisyphus shackle. Not claiming it's meta, it's just how I do it, and I personally see a good bit of success such that I don't feel a drive to change it at this time. There's certainly nothing wrong with using a god keepsake

Just a play preference thing I think. There are so many builds I like (Flurry jab, Merciful end, Zeus damage on Zeus shield, Clockets, etc.) and I'm also afraid that if I invest too much into one build that I may or may not get based on RNG, that I can miss out on another build that would have been viable that run

So my strategy is to simply go through the game working with each thing I have and deciding as I go - doesn't need to be an OP build, just needs to kill Hades.

Maybe that's why I winstreak, is because I try to turn each run into something decent with basically 0 expectations at the start. That said, I may stop winstreaking this way when I get to high heat, in which case I may adjust my playstyle

But for the 2-5 heat range my weapons are currently in, it seems to be working for me quite well so I'll keep doing it

EM3 almost screwed me out of the winstreak because I had never dealt with it before and lost all 3 DDs on Asterius/Theseus, but I took Hades slow with the shield and managed to block a lot of attacks, ultimately managing for the FIRST TIME to do Hades without using a single DD. I gotta be honest, I didn't think I was gonna pull that one off, but I got splitting bolt in Styx which came in MAD clutch with Zeus shield lightning special build

Ignore the 2 bull rush hammers, those were barely used, but were nice for a little extra damage while my disc grinded at them. They are synergistic for a strong bull rush, but it's no Cshot

Don't know what the heck went on this run, I was tired, but still managed to get it. The thing is, yeah I went "crush shot hera" (forgot to switch to infernal, so its stygian cast), but you know what I actually used to kill Hades? Posiedon Dash + Greatest Reflex (Rare, so +2 dashes). That's it. I just kept dashing. I would take too much damage when trying to use my bow, I think I need to git gud at bows, but the fact that I killed Hades with 90% dashes (ok, probably more like 70% dashes bc I used greater artemis call twice) is resourcefulness to be proud of, I think.

As an aside, I think this is the most raw # of boons I've ever had one run (idk if you can tell but toward the end I was fishing for zeus/ares duo boon that makes veng proc without needing damage, that's why I had 3 vengance boons but zeus refused to give me the duo)

Okay, this build was INSANE. I don't know about good, but definitely insane. Twin shot + Explosive shot on rama makes it so the bow charges super slowly, but packs a MASSIVE punch. Most of the time, obviously, I'm not fully charging the bow (because even shots charged for under a second hit in the hundreds), because of this, but there are still some opportunities where I can fully charge and let go the bow. I managed to test the power shot on hades, and it did 1716 damage in one massive hit to him. My only regret is taking the relatively weak demeter %boon instead of taking a stronger %attack like Aphrodite, that hit could have been over 2k

Had some weird purges this run. Just so I could afford the 1200 titan blood, as well as get the "Thanks but no thanks" achievement, I actually purged my aphrodite legendary as well as aphrodite veng, despite having a combo smoldering air + vengeful mood build. How come such bugs never get fixed?

Because most were discovered a considerable time after the game was fully released and stopped getting balance updates. Also a lot of the speedrunning meta was established and a lot of records were set so fixing some of the bugs would shake that meta substantially at this point.
