Well, very shortly: Hangover from common Lv.1 Drunken Strike does 4 damage per tick every .5 seconds or 2 times a second and caps at 5. So, 5 stacks would do 4 * 5 *2 = 40 damage per second. Malphon can do about 4.5 hits a second (that's what I tested before the attack speed nerf, anyway, back in Nighty Night(?)), so common Lv.1 Lightning Strike with 10 lightning damage would add 45 damage a second.
I guess with downtime, Drunken Strike might be able to pull ahead eventually.

@ripe crane oh man, I know what you mean by that. I think that is where having that Hades save file with the weapon aspect and similar build comes into play. I still can't imagine spending untold hours on Hades himself but refreshing the fight mechanics seems very useful

Adding 1 Heat matters a lot at high heat regardless of what you choose. I think HS is overall in a fine place compared to other options.

I was really happy, I was "live-casting" in this channel my progress
But yeah, it was more like a relief that I don't have to grind the RNG again
that 50 needs like... 3 things to go my way? I needed chain lightning before chamber 8, I need divine dash at some point in ashpodel, and I needed 1 decent hammer
and that's a lot of RNG
sometimes I would just get to dad and get 4 sacced or something and the run is just over
sometimes I just don't have enough damage because of the AP1 boons and time out at heroes
32 felt like a skill test, 50 felt like a RNG + skill test which I didnt like
