for some unknown reason, hell mode has access to a pact you don't get out of hell mode : Personal Liability, remove the shield that stops zagreus from getting burst down by multiple attacks, and is worth 1 heat

- I hate Extreme Measures 4, but if you can keep it up then more power to you
- Tight Deadline 2 is 3 heat for completely free
- I only take Benefits Package 1, otherwise they start turning into minibosses
- Underworld Customs is a buzzkill but doesn't really make the game harder (just get more boons and save your rerolls for the Pool of Purging)
- Forced Overtime 1 is free once you adjust to the new speed (FO2 is too much for me because Asterius becomes impossible to dodge)
- Tight Deadline 2 is free, you're not gonna run out of time

I was in the same boat, but honestly it's not even close to as bad as it sounds
it's still bad of course but it's probably pretty close to the best source of 4 heat once you've grabbed most of the low-hanging fruit + fo2

You don't need FO for 32 at all and it is a big difficulty jump

These are the two most recommended pacts in here. First one is a little more consistent for most people, I prefer the second because I am addicted to CF0
But getting used to lc4 SD helps a lot, you just have to clean up boss fights
I had gotten into a bad habit of wasting dds and face tanking bosses when I was in the 16-25ish heat range
Try to do that with SD and the run ends, can't just ignore mechanics etc
But if you focus on the bosses like the way we did when we were first progging, it isn't too bad and it makes some places like Styx much easier
You can just pop SD for "healing" pretty casually

it's more chances for mistakes vs mistakes costing you more, and you need a very strong knowledge of enemy patterns to be consistent at higher FO levels
not to mention quicker reaction speed, which can be difficult to improve

td3 quick start: take every single free room - midshop, sisyphus, chaos, etc. pause to make decisions between room exits. tartarus is definitely the hardest part of td3 to get used to at first, but you'll be fine

Disagree. Showing fountains and mini-boss should be vanilla imo. It makes the game more interesting. Now you can think a bit about whether to take a fountain with a mid reward rather than a normal room with a better reward. It's more strategy
