1000 hp with 19% DR (which you calculated at 0.81) is 1000/0.81 = 1234.567... EHP
meaning the first layer of 10% gave 111.1... EHP and the second layer gave 123.45 EHP
just because the % is diminishing, doesn't mean that the further layers are worse. In fact, they are better.

perhaps you are getting hit by one of his projectiles when he finishes an attack.
so like for jumping attack, if you dodge away in the same direction as the jump, you'll likely get hit by that projectile.

@heady comet || If you mean when Theseus does a spin attack on you, that's because he does 2 attacks for the fight, assuming no team tactics with Asterius : One is that he chucks spears at you, the other, he spins at you. If he's close enough to you (About half a screen away), he charges up a spin and lunges at you. To dodge that one you need to dash at him with the right timing, as if you would pass through him. Don't be afraid to use both of your dashes for that one, and don't attack at the same time to get maximum invicibility frames. This will not only let you dodge the attack, it also sets you up nicely for a counter-attack.||
