He is in certain myths, and there's dialogue about it in the game itself. ||Zeus says he is, Poseidon says he isn't. I think the implication is that he is, but that Poseidon just doesn't want to acknowledge him.|| It's left open to other interpretations though.

Does the story ever get like, "wrapped up" per se? I've completed 6 runs and there's still new dialogue. I'm just curious if I'm playing a never ending loop or if there's more to it at some point? I hope that makes sense

There is an "ending", and there is an "epilogue". There is also a LOT of story/voice lines in between

The ending, no it's just runs. The epilogue requires building a lot of bonds beyond that.

it's probably somewhere in #ask-supergiant but the gist is that the olympians are gods of the entire world, not just greece

other places are having history that isn't touched upon by greek mythos, so who's to say that these weapons haven't passed into their hands as well

Those weapons are semi-sentient and seem to have knowledge of themselves throughout time. Whenever their are used, they morph to their wielders and gain new forms this way.

Aphrodite can be annoying, but with Demeter the AoE effect makes the small window you have to get hits on Theseus even smaller. If i'm playing a pure melee weapon like fists it can drag out the fight considerably.

well, do you want more spoilers? cuz ||eventually they tell the olympians the truth and then zagreus is put in charge of 'security testing' for the underworld which the olympians help with so all the lies are finally cleared up and there's a reason to keep escaping||

||Not all the lies. Persephone lies about the origins and stability of her relationship with Hades, and her whereabouts for Zag's life. It's implied that quite a few of the Olympians know the truth, but accept the lies because doing so means repairing relationships while rejecting them would mean more conflict. Zeus has a little more knowledge and Hermes knows the whole truth.||

It's been a while since the story bits that came up during Early Access, but what is up with Skelly? I recall Zag having conversations with others in the House, and no one seems to know he's even there. Save probably Achilles since he has an entry in the journal.

I'm fine with him playing coy with his history and making up stories about his past, but I dunno. Maybe I was overanalyzing the mystery of the ending during about 2 years of EA, but I was kind of expecting him to have been an agent of Charon or your mother or something, secretly helping you and trying to lead you to her. Though really, I guess that's what Nyx was doing the whole time.

Well, I just found a video of the conversation where he spills the beans of who he's working for, so... there we go, I guess.

He is ||an agent of Charon. Hermes was also convinced to help through his own amiable association with Charon, and knows who Skelly is. The tooth Skelly gives you as a keepsake is implied to be Charon's too.||

I love how Supergiant decided to deal with the fact that Zag and Dio are the same god in mythology. They just prank Orpheus telling him they're the same and that mistruth gets spread to become mythology, that's amazing

I know a lot of people, myself included, are hoping for more. SGG has no plans that we know of though. They're taking things easy after launch, then later, they'll come back and make some decisions.

Apollo would be the god I'd want to see most, I think. He's the biggest omission for me.
