Upgrade the mirror aspect to be able to change what is offer in the next room. When a key is offered (and you already unlocked all weapons) then change for jewels, darkness or nectar. Note that some rooms offer no possibility of changes.

Yeah full rework of ares seems like a lot. I like the doom/blade rift stuff they just need minor tweaks and more synergy. The only thing I think needs a rework/major tweaks is ares’ call, as posted in #hades-feedback

Well, you're not standing still, unless you're against a stationary enemy, of which there are vanishingly few.
And like every Blade Rift boon Vicious Cycle gives it massive DPS.
But I do think it needs tuning.

a lot of the duos will require you to have a "core" boon from both gods
core meaning attack, special, cast, dash, or call
and once you have one from each god, getting a boon from either god will have a chance at giving a duo
but not all duos follow that formula
Dionysus/Demeter and Ares/Artemis duo require you to have one god's cast along with the other god's "core" boon. For example, having Dio's cast 'Trippy shot' + 1 core demeter boon opens you up to finding the duo 'Ice Wine' , and the Ares cast 'Slicing Shot' + 1 core artemis boon opens you up to finding the duo 'Hunting Blades'

thats basically the point of why some of us dont like those parts of the pact
they dont add anything to the game to add challenge, they take away to add challenge
taking away things the player has earned to increase the challenge aspect will always feel worse, especially when you are offered plenty of options that actively add to the experience instead, even if its just something as simple as enemies spawn more, enemies deal more dmg, ect.
thats why extreme measures is so popular, because it adds to the game, gives bosses more mechanics, makes them more interesting. and i know that the pact cant always be on the scale of what extreme measures offers, but the parts of the pact that take away from the player are often the very things the playerbase is most divided on
the rework is a bit better, starting from the bottom of the mirror as opposed to x amount of darkness, but its still one of the least popular parts of the pact, i feel

Divine Strike + Divine Dash avoids most damage. Your Uppercut deletes any big enemies.
I got hit exactly once by Hades, and that was an urn for 38 damage.
