I played a new save and got all the way up to Hades

after I died to Hades, Meg told me that the next time I get past her I should go all the way... b-but I did

I stepped fiery foot onto the surface and the God of the Dead himself had to come and stop me, don't feel bad for losing to Zag after all that.

Still though, it's interesting how the lore progresses when you haven't gone back to the House yet. Zagreus really seems badass when he goes all the way, and all the lore reveals

when he talks to Cerberus about having to find his mother, or seeing Hades for the first time since technically you haven't been back at the House yet

it's like a whole different game since all the late-game lore is said only at late-game bosses, and the missing interactions back at the house makes it way more gratifying a reveal

Hey guys, I have a theory if you want to read it.

#

So, I have a theory pertaining to the final aspects and some very feasible information to back it up.

I have a feeling that they will all lead to different choices of how the true ending of the game will pan out.

Reason 1: Let's start off with the Frost Flair Blade and Demeter. When I took that final aspect to the surface and had a few of her boons, I had a very interesting line of dialogue from Hades about it.

First, Zagreus said "Brr, it feels colder up here for some reason."
He said something along the lines of "So, you are naive in not seeing the effects you are causing in the world beyond?"

To which Zagreus responds "Then tell me father, what exactly is going on?"

To which Hades retorts back "Hmph, it's better that you stay ignorant of your choices and the future consequences they bring, just as you always have been."

I think one of the true ending choices has Zagreus ending the world in an ice age or something along the lines with the Frost Flair blade and the power of Demeter

The other final aspect, though I am not too certain how it will play out, it might have something to do with him protecting his mother with the blades defensive aura.

That or he might be the founder of King Arthur himself

If you do, you will unlock the Pact of Punishments. It adds more challenge to your future escape attempts in exchange of getting more bounties (Titan Blood, Diamond and Ambrosia)

yeah, it lets you get penalties in order to make future runs more challenging
in exchange it resets the boss bounties so you can claim rewards all over again

#

there's several restrictions on it so you can't exploit it, imo they managed to find a nice spot between challenging and rewarding
