actually, looking into the defiance thing, theres some complicated interactions

the game always triggers the newest death defiance first. You can use this to your advantage when using Stubborn Defiance. If you still have the Stubborn Defiance upon receiving a Chaos or Athena Defiance then the new one you received will be used first. But if you lose your Stubborn Defiance before getting a Chaos or Athena Defiance, when entering the next chamber your Stubborn Defiance will be the "newest" one and will trigger before the extra one you found during the run.

I did that at first too, but you can go without the dash once you have 2 dashes base really. It's not essential. Starting with the money bag and being somewhat flexible is also an option. The boon keepsakes are very special cases in my opinion, when you really need something.

Depends on who you'd want to value more right of the gate. I would personally go for Artemis I think, and then just see what happens. You are almost guaranteed to get at least 1 boon from either Dem or Deo, so I would just roll with whichever I get. If I didn't also happen to find a Zeus, I might use his keepsake after.
