The issue is that you're fighting on what's basically a tiny sliver of ground in comparison to the wide arena you originally get, and so the groundpound is either inescapable, avoided by standing on a tiny corner, or you walk into lava.
That's why you'll see a lot of jokes here about how Extreme Hydra is mostly just burning to death ๐

God keepsake -> Chtonic Coin Purse -> Broken Spearpoint for Elysium and Styx. That invuln window after taking damage is a godsend vs both Hades and Extreme Theseus since they're filled with AoEs and multi-hit combos.

I'm pretty awful at Roguelikes, but the 'God Mode' for Hades definitely helps me feel like I'm learning and growing without necessarily making the game a cakewalk, so eventually I can possibly take the training wheels off.

And yeah. God Mode helped me for my first... five or six runs? Once I fully cleared the game, turned it off and never looked back. Had a 20 win streak for heat levels 1 -> 7 before Extreme Theseus took me down a peg by costing me 2 DDs, then Hades finished me off XD

Artemis generally really good from what I have found. Most boons come with a second effect that adds a status effect, but Artemis just does more damage. Each crit% averages out to a 1.5% increase in damage, so a 30% crit chance adds so much extra damage
