Then. Your save is not here as it probably crashed while it was saving. So it's Corrupted.

Hi there! I had a problem with cloud save. I lost the 2-3 days progress. Local save file had date 23.12, but cloud save had 21.12. I tried the steps from #h1-tech-fixes , the file renaming did not work immediately. To fix I turned off the EpicServices in settings, removed cloud.cache files, started game again, then I apply newer local save. I turned on the EpicServices again and now the save is up-to-date.

Alright—in terms of fixing, I can DM you a zip containing pre-made save files. You'll want to unzip those, copy them into that same Documemts / Saved Games / Hades folder, then start up the game. When you open the play menu, delete the save, then start a new game in the same slot

I've just been gifted an Nvidia shield pro (2019) for christmas and I was wondering if there is a way to create a shortcut that will launch the epic game store on AMD link (so that I can sync my games when playing on the nvidia shield)
I managed to create a shortcut of the game in the AMD link, but it runs offline and I can't save my progression
Has anyone encountered the same problem? Or has a lead? II know it's not really game-related but I figured I could ask.
(PS: I've been using the search tool to check if anyone had already asked for a solution and found nothing)

The game appearing the freeze is expected—it's completely paused while you're reporting. You should see a pop-up in a new window, that contains a couple text fields and displays a screenshot of the game

You'll be given an option to overwrite that, though it wouldn't hurt. To delete the save completely, delete the Profile1.sav file in Documents / Saved Games / Hades while the game is open, then close the game

Hello, i have a question about cross saves. is it normal for the clear/time/best heat data to not transfer over? I originally played on the switch (~200 hours). I bought hades against through steam and enabled cross saves and everything seemed ok – keepsakes, weapons, etc. I finished my first run and it seems that that data did not transfer over

Alright. Could you save a copy of all of those files in a backup folder (I'd just make a folder called "backup")?

Then, start up the game. Once it's started up all the way, go into the folder and delete all of the _temp.sav files. Then, open the "Play" menu and see what your saves look like

Hi, I've got Hades yesterday off Epic Games and I've already ran into a bit of a problem. None of my progress gets saved whatsoever, I went through the steps shown on both the website and the discord server but I've noticed there isn't any data saved to being with. I assumed this was because of the drive but I checked and the drive is fine, i can't think of any other reason why this might happen, perhaps is the cloud. Hi ! I have some issues with the saving system, a while ago, the game started to act weird with the saves, only reloading older saves. For example, i beat the final boss, back at the house i talked to every person i needed to, went to the room with skelly, and left the game. But when i came back, the game loaded the save before entering the final boss' realm, i basically fought the final boss 2 times during the same run. i have 130 hours on the game, and before 115-120 hours everything was fine. So i don't know if it's a sort of bug or something (i play on the latest version V1.37133) Thank you !

Hey guys, I just tried running Hades on MacOS using Steam and noticed 2 problems:

  1. When the game is running, it's not using the AMD GPU and still using the Intel Integrated GPU
  2. I'm using an Xbox One Controller, and it doesn't detect any inputs. Tried adding /UseNativeGaInput=true /UseNativeGaInputNoControllers=false on the launch options does make the D-Pad input detected but that's it. Other button is not detected

Anyone facing the same problem?

Hi!! I’ve been playing the game for a while on PC and bought it for my sister on Switch for Christmas 😄 However, the font size is exceedingly tiny when we play it in docked mode on our TV (language is German).

I don’t know if it’s an issue with the screen size (should be around 60” screen), but it is incredibly hard to read the descriptions for both of us (my sister is new to the game and I play it in English normally, so I need to double check everything). While it’s not a big issue bc we can still read it if we one of us gets up and walks halfway across the room to the TV, it’d be a nice quality of life change to be able to adjust the font size 😅

The text boxes seem to be alright, though the description boxes (the ones that pop up on the side that explain what e.g. “Jolted” means exactly) are also weirdly formatted for such a big screen... they could be larger in general since they leave a lot of empty space on the screen

The boon description font size is already pretty small but can still be read if we squint or edge forward, but the side boxes (like Jolted description) are so small, they’re unreadable from the couch 😅

Hi! My save files were corrupted and I've already done what you said in the FAQ. I tried each save file but the only successful one was the one I had in December 12 which was the first time I ever played the game. Would it still be possible to retrieve the corrupted data? I understand if it's not! It's a fun game so I wouldn't mind that much to replay it again! Thank you so much and I hope you had a really good holiday!

okay there was definitely a fault with my game saving then, in the 10 hours or so of trying to play the game before adding exclusions I had not encountered them once

i've tried bit it still doesn't work I can't delete the file or save file i can't even make new file. I make new file or delete file when I turn off and restart the game new file are gone and deleted file are back.

I have an issue with the Hades soundtrack on steam. Whenever I try to play it on the steam audio player, steam freezes and subsequently crashes. I have verified integrity of the files, and there are no issues there. Any idea on what might be the problem?

The only reason some antiviruses detect Hades as potential virus is the fact that in past there was one called Hades.

Question about Hades profiles on the Switch

I've been playing on the wrong profile and want to switch to my main profile.

My theory is that I can do a cross save to Steam, unlink that profile, relink on my main profile, then import from Steam->Switch.

Sounds reasonable no?

Hey there, I seem to be having a slight issue with the game and it's not one I've ever seen in a game before!

Whenever I sit down to play the game, I can't seem to get back up or even to look away. I haven't seen my family in days, and every time they knock on my door and ask: "What shall it take for you to stop this foolishness?" All I am able to respond with is: "It'll take you getting out of my blasted way!" Is this a bug or an intended feature? Thanks so much!

Has anyone managed to get controller working in Hades on Mac (Steam) on an M1 machine? I've come as far as being able to navigate menus but no buttons work.

I've tried with and without Steam Input enabled (got furthest with it disabled) and with the launch parameters described in the FAQ

It seems like the same problem that Road Redemption has. I can navigate menus but not select anything.

I'm actually tempted to refund on Steam and try the Epic Games Store version, since that also has Mac support. I have a feeling this is very much a Steam thing. Especially because after disabling everything related to controllers in Steam, it still pops up and asks if it can record the screen if I press the back button twice.

So, here's an update. Xbox One controller fails to work with both. However, Dualshock 4 worked. Went back to Steam just to try it out, and Dualshock actually worked there as well. So looks like DS4 is go on Mac while Xbox One controller isn't.

Hi friends! I got Hades a few days ago for PC and now I have purchased it for my switch, too! I want to transfer my steam save over to my switch, as I’ve made good progress and want to be able to sync the two systems. I do not have any saves currently on my switch, but I want to be sure I don’t accidentally erase my steam file! Will connecting my switch to my steam overwrite that save even though I don’t currently have any on my switch?

The same Xbox One Controller (Model 1708, Bluetooth) works with Hades on Mac Mini 2018(Intel), but does not work on MacBook Air 2020(M1, Apple Silicon), both have macOS 11.1, newest Epic Games Launcher and Hades 1.37094 installed

On Mac Mini 2018 (Intel)
The Controller works without adding Additional Command Line Arguments or turning off vibration

On MacBook Air 2020 (M1, Apple Silicon):
After adding Additional Command Line Arguments, the controller can be recognized in game, but only D-Pad works, and all directions are combined with “Up”
Turn off vibration doesn’t help either
The controller works with some other games

I don't expect getting a native binary (seems Hades works well with Rosetta 2), but I hope the controller issue can be fixed😄
