It should be noted that the ancients saw her as aspecting a very physical and erotic sort of love, in keeping with similar much older goddesses from Inanna to Astarte. I suppose the game blended her son Eros' domains for simplicity's sake.

You can't get both at the same time, no. That's by design.
It was possible at first in Early Access when they added Freezing Vortex, but the interaction was funky, and I guess they couldn't make it work in any satisfying way.

I got Divine Strike and Curse of Pain on an Aspect of Zeus shield, then Impending Doom and a few poms on the Doom boon
So I could just special, and after each doom hit, hit with an attack and apply it immediately
It was especially good later on when I got Pulverizing Blow to make sure I didn't knock enemies back out of the Blitz Disk
This was my first run of EM3 and I didn't even feel the boss upgrades, since they died so quickly

Right. Dash-Strikes don't get invincibility. Empty dashes get invincibility.
The go-to sword combo is Special > Dash-Strike x2 > repeat. And maybe sometimes Cast > Dash-Strike x2 instead.
Crits mainly scale with Heart Rend, Hunter's Mark, Hunter Dash, Strike and Lunge from Master Chaos, and Well items that give bonus damage.
So those are the main pieces you're looking for.

Heart Rend requires a core boon from Lady Aphrodite. Usually the combo on Nemesis is Deadly Strike + Heartbreak Flourish or Heartbreak Strike + Deadly Flourish.
Poms on Hunter's Mark are decent, and poms on Heartbreak Strike are decent. Anything else... poms don't really matter too much. Maybe get a good Call and pom that.
There's of course a lot of other things you can pivot into or make use of etc., but that's like the core pieces that you're usually going for in a Nemesis crit build.
