You might be dashing too early, or dash striking, whenever you see the windup for his spin just dash twice into it, you are completely invincible as long as you dont try to attack mid dash

@feral belfry moving this discussion here - what worked for me is practicing new heats individually/two at a time. For example, when i was averaging 20-24 heat, i'd do 16 but with LC4 and TD3. then add in FO1, then FO2, etc - just get used to one scary pact at a time. so if you do 20 heat runs now, try doing some 16s with new scary pacts. lc4/stubborn for example is basically required unless you're reckless and go for em4 on 32 heat like i did (not recommended, i was reckless)

That's a good idea. I don't actually know my heat level yet. I'll play with it later. I've been going up by one to get rewards but only just yesterday realized that if I'm at 9 heat I can just play 16 over and over to speed up skill progression. I just cleared heat 10 and didn't did with rama which is what I want to practice with. I'll probably jump to 16 tonight and try to get multiple clears with different pacts. Trying to farm blood until I max every aspect still

1/21 was the original intention, but it was bugged in the first released build to be 50/50 instead and they liked the results of that, so they just kept it at 50/50.

When either the special moves out of range, you need to move, or want to get ER damage, press the special button to recall it, and bull rush to catch it by enemies and proc ER. Then dash in a suitable direction. Before your dash ends, throw out your special and dash-attack into a block for safety.
The cycle repeats the next time you want the special back: Recall special - bull rush to catch - trigger ER - dash to reposition - throw special at target - dash-attack to block.

I'd do the opposite and tag everything else first and go for the Chariots last if I can to hopefully at least take down their armor in one shot. The first shot if they haven't aggroed yet is easy to land.
Without armor, you can just stun them with any hit to halt them.
Try to use any gaps to your advantage. If there are no gaps, use obstacles instead. You can charge your Attack while they're getting around it.
Keeping your distance and just tagging them from far with your Special and just avoiding them for the whole encounter they either die from Shared Suffering + any DOT on your Special or they're the only enemies left can also work.
Kinda depends on the other enemies in the encounter, where they spawn, what the room layout is, etc.

anyway @bleak karma first step is to calibrate your own expectations - if your best is 10 heat, EM4 may be a future goal, not right now. fwiw, high heat players typically wait til the 50s to take EM4. but if your goal is just that one fight, you should just pick something you know will be op

The weapon has auto-aim on it, in a game which already has the most oppressive auto aim in the entire gaming industry (I'm a lifelong gamer, real games, none of that Nintendo stuff btw so I know what I'm talking about). It's like for babies that are born with no arms with how much just does damage for you. I'm pretty sure I could hand a controller to an eel and it could work its way to a 32 heat clear with Chiron. It literally takes negative skill to use this weapon. Supergiant clearly put it in to cater to the talentless casuals of the gaming world who sit and grovel at the feet of real gamers. I think it should be limited to God Mode, if not removed from the game altogether. It's a stain on the "high" heat community. "High" in quotes because if you use Chiron, go ahead and subtract 40 heat from the number on your screen, you deserve it.
Saying you're a "Chiron prodigy" is like saying you reached the bottom of the waterslide first. It wasn't you doing the work.

Demeter's Aid main uses are stacking Chill to everything nearby quickly and proccing Killing Freeze in the process.
It's silly how much easier even EM4 FO2 is when you can keep him Chilled for much of the fight.
