if the issue is getting a lot of damage pre hades, I have some ideas
yeah, people already suggested using death defiances as opposed to stubborn, so I won’t reiterate
in general, athena deflect is always your friend
slap it on the dash for big stonks, and if you still have issues, take her call too
a lot of styx is made easier by having deflect boons, the pots can have their explosions deflected, as can satyr spit
also, taking the miniboss doors in styx is faster than taking regular room doors
even more so if you still have like, extra companion charges
and if you want to play the long con, there’s also a duo boon that heals you when you have no death defiances left. Stubborn roots from demeter and athena

But really the most unfortunate thing about Beowulf is that there's no reason to use any but the three most powerful Casts on it. Trippy Flare for the best base damage but relies on getting bonus ammo, Passion Flare for the highest base damage without relying on that, and Flood Shot for easy Mirage Shot. The other Casts don't do anything those Casts don't do except for less damage.

How exactly does charm work with bosses? I know the time for the charm is reduced, but by how much? Is it capped to a certain amount? Or is it reduced by a set %? I remember that I had 12.5 seconds of charm on my Aphrodite call with Smoldering Air but it was still charming bosses for less than 4 seconds
