Let's say you start a run with a non-god keepsake and you get Zeus. Let's say he comments about the rail.
if you give up and redo the run without doing anything he'll say the same thing.
however, if you equip the zeus keepsake and start the run he'll say something different
in fact. the keepsake seems to save a line. you'll get the same line you would have gotten if you had the keepsake on 5 runs later

I think Hera bow is much better than Chiron, personally - Poseidon, Athena and Aphrodite casts all do massive damage - grab Snow Burst in there somewhere (effectively replaces your regular attack for trash mobs and triggers Privileged) and a relevant Duo boon and you've got a stew cooking

After ~100 hours it's the only basic boon I haven't got, and I did five or six runs yesterday with the conch trinket trying specifically to get it with no luck. Worried I might be missing something.

I had a similar problem with one of Aphrodite’s boons. Eventually it appeared with some rerolling. I still need rip current to finish Poseidon too so more rerolling fun to follow I guess.

For me, early on having Stubborn Defiance instead of Death Defiance helped a lot, because dying once to 3rd boss wouldn't have knock-on effects for the last floor/boss
I only really switched over to Death Defiance once I was consistently getting to the final boss without dying

For me it's the Satyrs themselves. I've never quite been able to place the timing for dodging their spit, and the sound for it is often hard to hear/process with everything else going on in the screen

I also really like how they've handled a lot of the gods. The more I play, the more I'm loving what they did with Ares, who's about as close to a feminist as the Greek Gods actually got, yet has such a horrid reputation in the modern era. He's never portrayed well... BUT he is in Hades ❤️
