@upbeat wave There's a long hallway from the Pool of Styx, which is where you'll be entering from. At the end is Hades, directly to the left of him is Cerberus. There's a T-section just a little bit behind him, maybe one dash.
To the left of the Hades T-section, is another hallway, you can go left or right. I have no idea if they lead to anything, but Achilles usually hangs out there if you go right just a little bit then hug the left wall. If you go too far, you get to a trophy area that seems to have no significance as far as I've gotten.
To the right of the Hades T-section, is a hallway that leads to your room, and the Lounge. If you go down the right hallway, then immediately take a left, you'll find Nyx. If you go a bit further hugging that left wall, you'll find the entrance to your room. If you hug the RIGHT wall when you're going down that hallway, you'll find the entrance to the Lounge, but it takes a few runs for it to open up.
Once you get into your room, it's a straight run forward to exit it, and if you take a left inside of your room you'll find the Mirror that lets you upgrade things. You'll be able to get other things in here too down the line.
Once you exit the room, you're in a courtyard that houses your weapons and keepsakes. Said weapons and keepsakes are in the leftmost corner of the room, and Skelly the Skeleton is in the center. If you hug the right wall, you'll find the exit into the actual game.

I had SUCH a cursed run with Nemesis earlier.
The original idea was to go for Merciful end.
Didn't get spec OR attack on my first Ares boon so I took rare cast.
Next boon was Demeter with heroic cast so I switched that out.
Then I got epic "your cast does chill".
And it turned into a Nemesis cast run. Except I got 0 extra casts, 0 cast-related chaos boons, and BARELY any of the other boons I needed.
I got SUPER LUCKY and got Demeter/Artemis duo in the Styx shop.

@rare epoch you can close your eyes and react to the sound instead. It's way easier because the fish sound is a super loud splash and you won't be tricked by the visual cues

It still is, as long as you remember to fire off the casts. The damage bonus from Ravenous Will is substantial, and the damage reduction is nice to have as well.

You should be able to re-roll the Daedalus Hammer.
One of the most frustrating things about roguelike games or games in general, is the rng aspect and Hades manages to deal with that by introducing Fated Persuasion (dices) and Keepsakes (to force a specific God to spawn), so if you want to go for a Poseidon Razor Shoals build with the Shield all you need to do is start with the keepsake get Tempest Flourish and now you only need to find him again and even if you don't get Razor Shoals right away you can still re-roll for it if you saved the dices.
But when it comes to the hammer, not only it can change completely the way the weapon works but also can't be re-rolled forcing you to be stuck with only two attempts (6 out of the normal 12 available modifications) to get the right one a run, also keeping in mind that the second hammer can only spawn at Elysium which is almost at the end of the run (for the same reason the last shop -1 +2 hammer doesn't count for much).
When going for a high heat run (40+) chances are you're going for a build that can deal with that level of enemies and said build would require a very specific hammer to work, now the only thing to do currently is to start until a hammer spawns and if you don't get it, kys and start over which can take a very long time and it's very boring.
One alternative solution other than just letting us re-roll the hammer would be to make the hammer be more likely to roll things that you've been using more often, it's really frustrating to be using only the main atk with the gun and get 3 special modifications or only be using the special of the spear and get no special modifications.
If I'm going for a Chiron run I need at least one of the volley hammer modifications, and if I'm going for Rama or even Zagreus run I need one of the main atk hammer modifications, the build doesn't really work without it.
I respect these developers a lot they got so many things right and because of that I know that they left the hammers this way for a reason, but the only reason I can think of is to ENCOURAGE build variety just like the prophecies, and that works fine early game, but it gets to a point where you want to go for specific builds and it doesn't work without you being able to re-roll, you only get the dices much later in the game any way I don't see why it wouldn't apply to the hammer also.
Btw I bought the game 2 weeks ago and already have over 100 hrs, I played pretty much every build there is, so I have quite a bit of experience with the game. I don't think being able to re-roll the hammer would be overpowered by any means and would fix which in my opinion is the main (and arguably the only) flaw about the game.

I think the game is intentionally designed to force you to show "mastery" at high heat with some flexibility in your builds
If you can only beat 40 heat with specific hammers, that means that your "mastery" is only so good. I agree that this breaks down at high heat, because the enemies get really difficult and certain modifications become more necessary. But the base dodging and predicting skills means that you can still play in a more optimal way than you are
If you want to control exactly your build path, there are mods that help you do this, but are you really "beating" 40 heat this way?
