I have Fated Persuasion from the mirror and the contractor upgrade that gives Fated Authority when you get keys, but I can't reroll chambers. The Authority just act like Persuasion and give me boon rerolls that go away at the end of a run. Is there something I'm missing or is it bugged? Can't find anything searching for it

its not necessarily "easier" it just lets you be more reckless. you can still combine it with the pact and further adjust difficulty
dying is still an important aspect to the game, so yeah it starts you at a low %. if you're really having trouble it'll just bump you another 2% each death until it caps out, at 80. you can toggle the mode on and off whenever you wish, even in the middle of runs, and it will retain whatever percentage it had

It will skip all that processing, so you have much better input lag. But it will probably still not match any gaming monitor because those are specifically designed with low input lag in mind.

Hi all! This is a super basic question, but I honestly have zero clue how rogue-like games function and how I progress in this game. Just picked it up because I love every supergiant release (and the noclip videos are incredible), and while I have unlocked a few weapons and I'm starting to understand the fighting mechanics of it, I don't really know how these games work. Is it like after every time I die do I have to start all over again and try to make it further after leveling up or do I more or less pick up where I left off? Usually this genre has never once piqued my interest, but I'm enjoying getting my feet wet with Hades. Just wanting to make sure I understand the structure and flow to it.

The general concept is that you should be looking to improve your own skill, but each time you fail you'll be able to carry over some resources to improve your character incrementally as well.
You do start over again when you fail, but don't think of your goal as "beating the game" at first, just enjoy the gameplay for what it is.

Also, after giving ambrosia to Megaera, I had a conversation with Achilles where he said that Zagreus should only keep giving her gifts if he loves her. Does this imply only one character is romanceable and I have to choose or if I romanced Megaera would I also be able to romance, say, Thanatos?||

This is just a bit of a rant so I hope you'll excuse me. I took a shot and sent SGG an email about possibly getting a Hades steam key for being an early adopter on EGS (like first week early, Hades is the only reason I open Epic to this day) if I provide proof of purchase, it's too early to expect a reply but I checked what the mood about that was like on this server and I doubt it will happen. I wish there was a way to verify the epic/steam accounts belong to the same person and/or transfer the license, to avoid people giving it away

Effectively offering dual licenses between platforms is the same thing monetarily as pulling their game from the Epic store
This is a valid complaint for billion dollar studios like Blizzard with Overwatch's cosmetics not being shared across platforms, but SGG is an indie game company. They can't just do that

They had a temporary exclusivity contract with epic, the product as it launched on steam is a direct result of the funds they got through epic and us. Epic has left us in the dust. SGG have left us in the dust and have their eyes on the steam market. I won't be buying the game again or putting my trust in them for early access in the future

There are definitely other people on this server who use EGS, I can't speak for that though. If that's true it's a problem. One that doesn't necessarily warrant a game key unless it demonstrates itself to be a repeating and deteriorating issue.
