Sisyphus's Keepsake also increases trap damage, so if you're mean like me and you like to lure Skullcrushers over lava it will kill them more quickly.
I also like to lure them near pots, but that instagibs them without needing any help.
I tried a lot to use Stubborn Defiance, but I find I need one more life against the final boss.
I always end up going into the final boss fight with 3 or 4 minutes on the clock, I should just try to take that more slowly.

there are some things that are objectively better in game in raw utility than others but i really dont believe there is anything that is really "the worst," because someone, somewhere, will always either figure out an interesting way to use that thing, or maybe just favour it regardless. every time someone here has said a boon/god/weapon/keepsake is the worst this has proven true

Also yeah, sadly it's 'get these boons and pray.' However, you can alter things in your favor, especially for the legendaries, if you save the 'guaranteed this god will show up' charge until you have the required boons

Very often (especially with high confidence) I would hit a target for weak for 100+ damage, shoot one special at them, and then focus something else, and the hangover would do the rest, assuming they didn't die from the special itself
Plus I could add on a quick dual-shot artemis cast if I wanted to make sure they died

Since I was doing a speed run, I went lambent plume to help keep me alive and really benefitted from it. I find High Confidence tends to work a lot better (for me at least) when paired with defensive boons so I can keep the buff more easily.

In theory high confidence is a straight upgrade. For the perfect player, it's a free, constant 25% damage bonus, which makes things go faster. I still prefer the extra health myself tho, but I'm warming to it.
(Also 'cause things die faster, you have less risk of getting hit but eh)

Prevledge status is easier to setup for sure, and it plays into strategies that were allready good.
Family favorite can't even get to the same amount of damage. You can only have favors from 4major gods plus hermes plus chaos, 36 percent extra damage all the time vs 40 percent extra damage on a good build almost all the time.

Family favourite means you can pass over status boons that don't directly increase power. If I'm on a cast focused run I can skip athena exposed and still have some bonus damage.

because you are guarranteed to get 4 gods + 1 hermes per run
do some manipulation you have a chance to get 5 gods + 1 hermes, like getting only 2 gods until styx

In response to the PS vs. FF discussion earlier, I do feel privileged status is arguably better but I prefer family favorite for a few reasons:
- It is less damage without manipulation, but it is more reliable and on average I take less damage using it than I would trying to proc both status effects
- Giving every boon from a new Olympian you pick the effects of an urge to kill that has 2 percent less damage but affects all damage makes throwaway boons a lot less throwaway
- I like that the majority of my builds aren’t focused around setting up a couple of status effects.

i think you somehow have the assumption that duos are hard to find, and i dont know, maybe thats true, maybe its not. so long as you have the prerequisite boons for duos, you will have a chance to have to find a duo. i've gotten stuff like hunting blades in tartarus, just by managing to pick up the bare minimum of whats necessarily, and getting lucky. of course some duos require higher tier boons so you're not gonna get them super early like that. but some arent requirement heavy, you can either get lucky and find them early on, or maybe they wont show up til the second half of your run (or maybe sometimes they wont even show up at all). its a coin toss

well first, you should give everyone at least one nectar, since that unlocks their keepsakes
a special few have more gameplay-related goodies if you go all the way down their nectar/ambrosia routes, those currently being ||megaera, thanatos, skelly, dusa, and sisyphus||, with one more coming in a future update
special mention is ||orpheus. if you max out his nectar hearts, you unlock a special song from him||

Best Aegis hammer combo I've found is Minotaur Rush and Charged Shot. With Pom-d out Artemis on your attack and a Chaos epic attack+ boon, you can get 1500+ crits with it.

Had the chance for that earlier today but I didn't take it.
I think Explosive Return is super overrated, it just slightly enhances an already very powerful tactic, whereas Charged Shot breaks the charge rule so you can spam the crap out of it, and it comes with 80 base damage.

sword: imo all except zag are good at what they do, arthur is quite impressive
spear: don't really like it, guan yu is very powerful though
shield: chaos vs zeus is very split among the community (both considered strong) and it's more about the style of gameplay you like. you tend to be good at one but not the other
bow: all are great and can work, personally i prefer hera (for insane burst damage) and zag is boring but good
fists: talos vs demeter is split, but not as much as shield. both can be fine, imo zag and demeter are the most powerful
rail: zag is boring but ok, eris and hestia are both strong at their intended roles (if you can't aim, don't do hestia)

Mostly agree with Onyx, aside from spear. Guan Yu great yeah, obviously, but Achilies allows for more varried builds (really good with casts or if you like playing the default spear skill set) and is super mobile to boot. Also Zag rail with spread fire is silly strong right now.

It pauses the in game timer, which makes desicions less stress filled.
Real time is used for runs, but he has a modifer on that forces an in-game time limit to prevent the minute long survival rooms from spawning.

Managed to get both Ice Wine and Scintillating Feast on both runs, and on the last one I got Cluster Bomb and Inescapable Blast, just sat in the corner covering the battlefield with Trippy Scintillating Wine and forcing enemies to stand in it. XD

You have to spend a certain amount of blood on unlocking aspects and then you get the dialogue option from someone. Just keep playing, you'll get it eventually.
