Nah it's the mechanic that saves your life if you happen to tank an absurd amount of damage at once.
You'll see the text for it pop up and the damage will just be negated, there's a little animation with it too.
If I could remember its name I could probably find you a wikia article, the wikia is pretty useful for the actual math of the mechanics.
