Oh, about the mirror. There are a couple of options that just aren't worth picking, but stuff like the money/heath/boons/Fated all based on what you're going for. I actually don't think there's a 'best' besides avoiding the objectively bad ones.

If you're new to the game or looking to challenge yourself. Stubborn defiance is a decent choice. It's easier to get to redacted but harder to beat him because you only get 1 extra life. The money one is only really worth if you want to farm diamonds and titan blood on the 4th floor. I'd personally say the health one is pretty bad because unless you're REALLY good at the game you won't be able to keep the damage.

Given MOST attacks in the game will drive you under 80% health.

fiery presence is useless, dark regen is great, stubborn defiance is just new player training wheels (experienced players will only lose their death defiances near the end and want all 3), Ruthless reflex is kinda mediocre, abyssal blood is meh, Stygian Soul is nice on non-cast builds, golden touch is too inconvenient even though you get more than 100 gold over the course of most runs, high confidence is bad, family favorite is alright,Olympian Legacy is niche, God's Chosen is meh, and Fated Persuasion is nice

Eh, don't knock other people's style, ruthless is better for players who like high risk high reward gameplay. I can definitely see why people would choose multi-dashing though since it makes most bosses in the game a hell of a lot easier.

@honest bridge I would say at the mo the most recently added weapon, Malphon, has the most potential to go ham. It depends heavily on the aspect of the weapon you choose and the boons you get. Hades seems to be a game where some really funny build concepts can be planned out before a run and made to happen.

Nah he actually doesn't do enough damage for it to have a serious effect on the game until you've got like a 40 streak against him.

His highest damage attack is 30 if I remember correctly, so it'd take a streak of 9 to get to him doing 33 with his best attack.

Needless to say if you know him well enough to win 40 times in a row regardless of heat level, it's just a fun way to keep the challenge climbing.

#

Other fun things along the same nature could be seeing a bounty board occasionally between rooms. It'd probably offer to set up the next mini-boss to be more difficult in return for an additional reward, but you'd also see zag's name on there and his bounty is equal to the number of normal mobs he's beaten without dying. (Only dying to one of furies or a normal mob resets this. No other end of floor boss does but mini-bosses yes.)
