When you go from one area to the next it'll show you the items you've unlocked If you haven't there'd be a question mark also when you pick a weapon once you unlock the pact of punishment it'll show you how far you've got with each weapon and what you've unlocked

Some games only check achievements when the required events happens. Other games would review if the save file meets the required condition.

Same. I can see some achievements like "Beat the final boss" working retroactively easy, but others that may be something like "Beat the final boss without taking damage" impossibly to retroactively grant
I can see that too, Lyu. Personally, I'd never feel that way because I think that it's the price you pay for playing in early access. You're signing up for an unfinished game, and achievements are a part of that.

The reviews speak for themselves but sometimes, like in the feedback channel, all you see is criticism, light and sometimes heavy. I just wanted to help reinforce that even though we are giving them lots of work to do based on suggestions, it all comes from a good place. This is easily in my top 10 games of all time and it's early access. The sky's the limit for SGG.

What really got me into the game is the sheer amount of "extra" things SG implemented that really did not need to be, but they did because they love making this game as awesome as possible. The sheer amount of voicelines that exist for different parts of the game by itself is definitely an act of love

Yeah. Part of me wishes they could get the massive amounts of funding they deserve so they could just go all out, but I think if they grew their team too large, the quality might suffer. It feels like they have a very solid team that all share a vision of creating the highest quality games imaginable that are truly works of art.

It really is beautiful. When a team like this pours their heart out into creating a game like this, it tugs at something primal in within me that is akin to some of the greatest pieces of music or art created
We've had masterpieces created in visual art and music over the last few hundreds of years, and masterfully made movies within the last hundred years, and now we're in the era of the most interactive art medium of all through video games, and this is definitely qualifies as a masterpiece.

I couldn't bring myself to start from scratch in Hell Mode, not because I'll have to get everything back , but because the change in tone and story-telling is so drastic
In the documentary they talked about how this game lacked the storytelling formula the rest of their games have, but just by playing the first escape attempt again you can feel the Supergiant touch in the dialogs and the intro scene. It might not be a story exactly in its current state, but having that feeling back of just stopping and looking at every detail and listening to the characters quotes again was so refreshing that I'll probably wait until v1.0 to start a new file.

Hades absolutely is a masterpiece! Currently going through some "Underworld Renovations" tm but this game is utterly beautiful from the actual gameplay mechanics to the story and characters! I have never played a roguelite/like that has as much story and depth as this game and the fact that it's still in Early Access is a testament to the love that SG put in this game!

i think that styx was planned to be the last zone, but it does seem like the ending will be pretty elaborate
