Heat gates don't open until you've taken the room reward, so if the heat gate is available, you should be able to quit.

If I'm not mistaken, this update is focusing a lot on late game replayability. They have mentioned a few times of they are revamping the currencies of the game, so I believe we will see a lot of those changes today.

you can use any heat you want, its no longer resource which you need . The pact should show when u start the run , if it doesnt hit f10 to report bug

Yeah, giving up essentially rewinds your run progress back to before you started the run
you'll keep getting the same stuff until you actually die in a run and start totally fresh

I've been on a different version of the game for a while so don't quote me on this, but due to the restructuring of all those systems, yeah, you need to clear the game again before using the pact. there are rewards for doing so though
