Don't get greedy between attacking phases. Get your hits in against the main head and then get away when it winds up for an attack. Same goes for the smaller heads, though they usually have lesser range.

There's a give up button on the pause menu; once combat has started in any given area, you can give up and it will reset your run entirely

won't count in your run count or anything

What's the worst run you've ever had? I had a run with the Rail on about 20 Heat where absolutely everything went wrong. Couldn't get any of the right boons, never found a Hammer, had misplays causing me to get blasted by the Bombers Miniboss and eventually just got wrecked by Alecto. Had 1 DD left heading into Asphodel and died to Gorgons in the second room.

I think the bow is my favorite to use but it doesn't feel like it works as well as the other weapons

You can earn one hammer between the first two biomes, and you can earn the second hammer in the third biome. Fun fact, you could potentially hold off on getting a hammer until the third zone, and end up getting more than one hammer within the same biome.

I know that you aren't guarenteed the boon in the first room and that the next boon you come across is guaranteed to be you're god of choice, but if the first room is the god of choice

No, it shouldn't

The keepsakes just guarantee that the first time RNG rolls a singular boon for you in a standard room, that boon will be for the god you want

#

hermes boon rng works differently so hermes sometimes appears before other god boons, and god trials also aren't bound by the keepsake

It's most likely just strange RNG. Gods tend to appear in clusters, too, based on things like duo boons, so if you've been targeting certain gods using keepsakes, etc. then you might be less likely to see Zeus

Hey there, quick question, is there any way to block non essential menus like the ability overview while fighting? I just had my first really good run after ~10 tries and nearly defeated the minotaur after killing theseus, but managed to hit tab twice while trying to use the weapon special, which got me killed. Sure, definitely my fault, I probably was to hectic, nevertheless that might help me in the next run.

I know I'm way behind on this, but there's not a single character in Hades besides Tisiphone (who is almost skeletal) and Skelly (who is literally a skeleton) that is not attractive. Like, Zeus is swole as hell and his voice is actually soothing, Athena has cheek bones that are so sharp I'm pretty sure she cuts her hair on them, and you could put Meg's voice with Tisiphone's portrait and I'd still be down.

I got the autograph just playing through the game. You do have to die to Asterius at least once, I think, so Hypnos will comment on it when you come back through the House. I've forgotten what I did exactly to get it. I just want an Asterius autograph for myself some day. And to ask for it at the Heroes fight so Theseus knows I'm slighting him.

To be fair, EVERYTHING works with crits. Pressure Points and Hunter Mark can be slapped on to literally every build and it will be hugely effective.

#

Poseidon attack will also work well together, you'll be slapping stuff for close to 200 damage with just a Rare Tidal Strike.

Even without boons, World Splitter is an absolutely ludicrous damage output. You can easily output two chops in the same time as the normal three-hit combo, dealing 160 damage as opposed to 75.

Basically, yeah. When knocking enemies into walls/gaps, they take damage and the popup says "Wall Slam" or "Cornered" (something like that), and Poseidon has boons that take effect when that happens

I'm pretty sure it was a deal, like every other exclusive access title on the EGS. (In response to Maieath)

They've stated they want to include Steam (check #hades-faq ) in the platforms supported when the game fully launches, so if the EGS isn't your thing, no worries, it won't stay exclusively on the EGS forever.

I expect Hades will likely have console releases as well, as it has controller support and Supergiant has a good history of getting their games onto consoles.

Hey, wanted to clarify that we've stated the full ending of the game will be in the full release. You should not expect 'the majority of the plot stuff' to be added then, since from our perspective there is already a lot.

Imagine a boon that you get 1/2/3 (Common/Rare/Epic) HP for every enemy you kill, or every enemy you kill with a Crit

I know it sounds really OP at first, because HP is usually dangerously low all the time (I play with Damage on 500% almost always) it kinda balances out, you're not gettig full healing back and not even getting back the ultra damage you just took, just small drops back into the life bucket

i think the invulnerability for all bosses is for the remainder of their current attack and a short switch after it(into next phase)

sometimes they go for their own weapon, sometimes go for one as far away from me as possible
they get on their weapon and respawn a full HP Exaulted something, but that can be stopped with any instance of damage

I usually dont like the Soul Catcher Boss one bit, I always preffer the minotaur if I can have it

it has 10 trillion HP, does not move, gotta avoid all tiny almost invisible (to me) bitterflies (I still dont understand their hitbox) while trying to kill the knubs and exalteds

Even low-damage sick ticks make it fairly easy to defeat. Just keep the sick up, and dodge exalted for a minute.

I honestly think both of the fights are fairly manageable

I think the difference is simply that the fights play literally the opposite from each other. I find the Minotaur to be a very long and endurance fight, you simply more have to "survive" as you whittle down his health bar.

I think the Elite Soul Catcher is very much of a "who kills who first" encounter where eventually you'll be drowning in enemies and unable to do anything and will just get wombo-combo'd to death. So the 2 fights require drastically different mentalities and based on which you'd prefer, that skewers which one you find easier.

I do think the Minotaur is always my preferred fight though since it makes Theseus easier.

When against Theseus&Asterius I try to only dodge Asterius and give him some free hits but I focus my damage almoat entirely on Theseus,
hes enfuriating to fight against
like, hes very easy to hit with Specials, but hes just annoying, and when he calls for a god, the battle is 3x1

If you're good at the Minotaur fight, Theseus inflicts way more damage and sustains himself much better, taking him out first means you don't have to deal with his increased attack speed with the god attack and the chariot

#

You have to be pretty good at the Minotaur fight though for that to be worth it. If you can find yourself keeping enough distance from the Minotaur or able to easily dodge him, then I recommend focusing as much damage into Theseus as you can as fast as you can.

I never ever ever recommend attacking them both equally though. Dealing with both of them under 50% is a hassle, and you should avoid that as much as you can, the amount of projectiles the 2 will create is pretty high. Pick whoever you're more comfortable focusing, and focus them hard.

#

But for a more in fight tip, play around the pillars. You can use them to dodge Theseus's main attack and to throw off the Minotaur charge. Always be within range of a pillar you can dash to if you need to quickly. (One that would shield you from Theseus or one that would throw the Minotaur off.)

Also, be very very careful when trying to get close to Theseus. Respect his melee attack (his spin to win let it rip beyblade move). Its devastating, even after it was nerfed to hell and back.

One thing I've seen Theseus do a couple times is the Bull will toss/charge him in a direction (the dash like attack) and then he'll land near you, and then try to do that melee spin if you're close enough, definitely watch out for that

@low phoenix I like to use an artemis build with damage when casts fall out, or a poison build with the gun - infinite chamber or piercing + a second god boon (aphrodite, ideally, to get the duo) means you can get ticks of 90+ twice a second on either boss. Shield + whatever, sword + poseidon or gun + aforementioned are my most successful
