As a whole, Epic just seems to be the better choice right now for smaller developers. I fully expect the game to spread out as the FAQ states it likely will when the time comes since there are plenty of people that are simply not going to spread out their library across launchers and marketplaces. I've seen many, many opinions from people stating that if a game isn't on Steam, they just won't bother because they don't want to deal with marketplace exclusivity on new games.

So, the Lifesteal Boon on Sword that Halves your Max HP but gives HP on Thrust is actually insane.
I avoided it pretty much every time until finally I was like "meh why not"
And you don't even notice the missing health because you get it all back.
Furthermore, it makes Centaur Hearts RIDICULOUS because you heal a Percent of YOUR Max HP, NOT a percent of DAMAGE
This means the higher your Max HP is, and the more enemies connect with the 3rd hit of your Sword's combo
The MORE HP you harvest in a single move.
Against bosses like Meg/Hydra you can literally STAND THERE and just TANK everything spamming Left Click

So basically, make sure you have the collar on for the 25 HP boost to start, prioritize finding the skill, then collect Centaur Hearts. Although if life steal is the only way to make the Sword viable, it's still kind of a dumpster fire of a weapon lol

I think it would be interesting if there was a way to make a god angry so that they removed a previously granted boon. I know there are the rooms right now where you pick one blessing over another, and the god that feels slighted sends waves of enemies. Enhancing that in someway could be interesting to change things up.

If you find daedilus (spelling?) boon, upgrade your spear to have increased charged X range and increased charge speed. If you get a few upgrade boons, upgrade it a few times. The other boons should be from artemis, 300% extra crit damage on armored enemies, 40%+ chance to crit with X and 10%+ crit chance on all attacks.
You'll do around 500 damage to half a room every second

Also, I find armor alright, but if you get unlucky and don't end up with good damage output by about halfway through Tartarus, get ready to spend a looooooong time fighting armored enemies.
If you don't have good damage output by your first armored enemies, it's almost more worthwhile just to die and restart the run as the game stands now.
I've had a few runs where I got to my first armored enemies with only two boons because the game just wasn't spawning blessing rooms.

I disagree, but that's very personal I think. I tend to like having 0 disadvantages vs armored enemies now that I found out I can one-shot them, or 2-3 shot bomb skeles - if I get the upgrades I want.

Yeah, the Skelebomber problem is that when you first meet them, they are exactly the same as they end up being in Asphodel. Plenty of games do things like this, so that's not a major complaint, but they end up being pretty tanky in a lot of scenarios with no special reward or otherwise to celebrate your victory over what is basically a mini-boss at that point.

Getting to Asphodel is easiest with Shield. Even without good blessings, it's possible to keep range and do well. The walled chambers of Tartarus can make the Shield special OP with pretty minor upgrades. It can be tough to use in Asphodel though as the only weapon you can straight up lose for awhile. It's my recommended weapon at this point for anyone struggling to get out of Tartarus.

The only problem is that attack timings and patterns are, at least right now, pretty easy to learn on most enemies. They tend to have very obvious attack indicators, and you learn their movement patterns within five seconds of seeing them.

If you find daedilus (spelling?) boon, upgrade your spear to have increased charged X range and increased charge speed. If you get a few upgrade boons, upgrade it a few times. The other boons should be from artemis, 300% extra crit damage on armored enemies, 40%+ chance to crit with X and 10%+ crit chance on all attacks.
You'll do around 500 damage to half a room every second, the charge-up is so fast you don't even have to pay attention to whats happening

I had my game freeze on a good run when a bunch of lava appeared in asphodel and the screen stopped moving
