Well... from a QA perspective it means a different kind of QA. For example, I will probably now spend 90% of the time I would have been testing the game talking to you guys, tracking feedback, and following up on bug reports. Bugs that I may have thought were really bad may not get noticed, while things that we have seen here 10000 times and thought were fine may escalate in importance. It's going to be an interesting balancing act, and I am super excited to be digging into it alongside our players.

So, some of Supergiant's trademarks are Darren Korb making fantastic music, Logan Cunningham providing his wonderful narration, and a very intelligent way of blending gameplay mechanics in with the narrative. This makes me wonder about one of their others. Is there a way to increase the difficulty for rewards as they tend to, like with Limiters from Transistor and Godshrines from Bastion?

The main issue I can see with adding another playable main character is redoing/adding a lot of voice acting, moreso than assets or movesets; if they chose to make unique fighters that would be a lot of mechanics on top of that too

Honestly after seeing the crazy amount of interactions between your choices, your character, and the 20 other characters around, I can't possibly imagine how they'd redo all that for a different character & story

Logan is doing Hades, it sounds like? And if it's a non-Logan voice actor doing the protagonist, I don't think it's unerasonable to include an alternate v/o set for any alternate characters, as much work as that would be. Perhaps as DLC! I'd buy the heck out of that.

I mean without spoiling the story, the identity of the characters is all crucial to how they interact. So if you just keep the identity of the main character but say flip the sex you'd still have to redo every voice line.

They don't have to be mutually exclusive. You finish a game, you make DLC for it for a year or so, then you move on. I'm not suggesting they make expansion content for Hades forever

I don't really follow that logic. DLC = expansion content, which is not required to play the base game, which in itself is finished without anything else. expansion contentis the icing on top of a cake that's already delicious.

I have high hopes cuz it feels like transistor but one of the biggest drawbacks of transistor I feel, was it’s lots of lore but lack of interaction with the lore so i hope through the early access method they can provide the gAme and build this interaction with lore and world
