Aspects become available one run after the Rail has been unlocked and the player has collected at least one Titan Blood.
You need to unlock the final weapon (the gun) and then they become unlockable via spending Titan Blood in the courtyard

The story continues WELL past getting Persephone home
There's still a lot to do with befriending characters and unlocking those stories, plus you can become more powerful and also aim for other completion goals such as prophecies
The game does also have an official 'epilogue' (doesn't mean you can't play past it) which you'll find out more about soon if you keep playing

infernal (or erebus) gates are good, they just can be difficult given you need to not take damage to get the reward, also its not that it’s an extra room reward it still progresses the chamber count as normal, for tartarus as an example there are 12 chambers before your endshop/end reward being offered before you fight one of the furies
and no the rooms after arent changes at all
unless you count the already increasing biome depth just as you progress further ig

Athena keepsake gains some extra value and is often started with (meta)
Zeus keepsake opens jolted and lets the player deal with damage control better, and is hence a meta-option
Aphrodite can be used in place of athena in many cases, trading deflect for some extra damage
Skull earring sees some use, usually equipped for asphodel, and sometimes kept through elysium too if tight deadline gets tight
Tooth can be used in asphodel / elysium for extra safety against rooms
Acorn is almost always used in elysium and styx (especially styx)
Collar is a weird one but I see some occasional usecases for it entering asphodel, if you're low on max-hp at the time, and are good on tight deadline pace

like bow it's very clear that ALL your strike hammers affect both strikes and dash-strikes
and on the opposite side, on fists it's very clear which ones only affect standing strikes vs dash-strikes
sword is the only one that really mixes it up where some slash hammers affect both dash-strikes and standing strikes (breaching slash, hoarding slash), while some only affect standing strikes (cursed slash, shadow slash)

Once you get to 4 gods, you only see those 4 from regular boons
no, selling boons doesn’t remove them from the god pool
so most of the time you want 1-2 (sometimes 3) specific gods for a build and so you typically want to keep your god pool open to get those important ones
And then close it off asap to double your boon consistency
Taking that early midshop lets you browse for maybe a god you want for your build really early which is a lot of utility

("Not always" is an understatement, "almost never" would be more accurate)
the single exception I can think of is high heat, where dio can be used on some aspects as an alternative to Zeus, to deal with blue hearts (whether applied by DC2 or saviours). And even so, zeus often has a better average payoff damage-wise. And either way one's not getting weak for the status effect itself, it's more that aphrodite's cores have the best % in the game

1: it does more than you probably think it does. There are at least 50 chambers (more if you don't get the least possible rooms) in a run, so you can get 150 hp or more of value out of it
2: More reliable. You can easily calculate whether you'll have the HP to enter a chaos-gate in the next chamber if the calculation is irrespective of the reward of future chambers
3: you're probably healing to full anyway between regions. In a speedrun context, each fountain heals 40% of your maxhp anyway, and wells exist in each midbiome to make up the rest.
(4: in a high heat context it doesn't matter since LC4 prevents all healing, so most high heat players just have cthonic regen carry over from their time playing anyheat)

this is not a high heat / anyheat thing. In fact pstat is considered a bit better in high heat than in anyheat, since in anyheat you're either already close to (if not outright) 1-shotting every enemy or the build sucks
(As opposed to 45+ heat where this is no longer true and having good damage output becomes a luxury on many aspects)

Just here to vent, pretty sure nothing can be done about this except sink more time into the game.
I was clearing my laptop which was struggling to function due to storage and had to delete steam off of that laptop. Later that day I opened Hades for the first time in a couple of weeks and it rolled back ~100 runs worth of progress. I had at one point alt-F4d sometimes, but I know for a fact that I closed it properly the last time I played. What I think happened is the laptop was storing the most up-to-date version, and when I deleted steam, it lost that version and rolled back to the last saved version on that PC. Thankfully, it saved my achievement progress so I don’t need to re-3 star the keepsakes. I think that the most annoying thing is that I need to is max out the mirror of night again.
