Even if you are talking about using the modpack to force delta chamber on first hammer, hestia will just lack the damage later on to keep up with even just asphodel when DC2 is on, possibly even timing out in tartarus

Zagrail has similar issues but at least pre-deltachamber you struggle less, and there is always the possibility of starting spread fire if you're insane

but choosing the right gods for your weapon is like the first thing that comes to mind

it is completely possible (I'd even say "likely") you had other voicelines with higher priority-score to get.

I punched one and it dealt 150 damage back to me and killed me instantly

I was on track to escaping with Malphon too. I didn't defy death in phase 1 and had an awesome Boon loadout then that happens to me

once the vases are destroyed a green field is created below them, this green field deals 30 base damage. it counts as a trap, so having the heightened security pact enabled will make them deal 150 damage

you have to destroy them from afar or quickly dash away

I've been preferring the timer version recently because I use Demeter's beam whenever I can and stack up on bloodstone cap with Chaos boons and the consumable from the Well to just have a ton of beams floating around

I'd planned to buy it, but decided first to pick up the Fateful Twist (get a random item from the well), and it gave me HydraLite. I know from experience that buying HydraLite now will generate another entry in my kit that will last 3 turns alongside the first.

I just discovered in typing this that I have two questions here: Will both of these iterations be active, effectively doubling HydraLite's effectiveness for 3 chambers, or will it simply be wasted? In other words, do they stacks?

Secondly, if I'd bought HydraLite first, would it then be removed from the pool of possible items that the Fateful Twist might grant?

It makes hourglass a really strong keepsake

you can end up with a stupid amount of buffs

It’s usually the best for castpects because stones and raw cast damage let you double scale

But you can like ichor stack for massive rush delivery damage

What I’ve been doing recently is I just check the hammer dependent aspects I want to play whenever I have a c1 hammer

So I can check if spreadfire is available or serrated gy or (for memes) flurry zag sword

and then I check the more conventional weapons

Man, I slept on Hades hard, despite being a Classic major and absolutely loving all things ancient Greece, and even though I'd picked up Hades for free on Epic ages ago. I had at first given it a few runs and enjoyed it, but it was probably my first roguelite, and wasn't really into the genre at that time.
After since going at roguelites hard, returning to Hades really illustrates how it is pretty much the masterpiece of the genre.

Question: If I Give Up on a run, do I keep any darkness, jewels, etc. I'd accumulated up to that point, and do I retain chamber clearance toward leveling up Keepsakes?

if you hit give-up it puts you back in the courtyard before you entered the run

you go back to the courtyard as if nothing happened yeah

which means you can keep the same seed for the start of your run

also anything you did in the courtyard between the last time you entered and the give-up won’t have happened

so if you swap your pact around and change your keepsake, and then head in, the game won’t remember that happening when you give-up

About to enter the Temple of Styx for the first time with a solid build, and I'm putting it off for some reason. Not sure whether I want to hang on to the Hourglass or not, or maybe swap to a particular god's keepsake to hone my build (I have the power that guarantees all boons to be at least Epic).

hourglass isn't that good in styx bc wells aren't guaranteed

you can buy the stuff in the room you're in rn before you leave and then switch to acorn

but the stuff you buy isn't guaranteed to last until dad fight

Yeah, I have several buffs with 11 more chambers in them, so that'll help some, but I'd read that there are 33 chambers in Styx. Do you have to go that deep, or is it just luck picking one of the 5 wings? I know that you can clear one and return to clear another, etc., but might I find Hades in the first wing I choose, for example?

first is impossible, 2nd is like 52% chance

you dont have to go through all of them

you basically have a 52% chance to take your current buffs into the final fight
