For example, AP2 forces you to be more flexible with the boons you get, so you have to maximize how much damage you're doing with boons you might not necessarily want

RI similarly forces you to give up some build control, base health, damage, etc to a similar end

All of the heat modifiers provide valid challenges that can be overcome with enough skill, perseverence, and maybe a little RNG

but the amount of RNG required to overcome certain challenges decreases as skill increases, if you catch my drift

So I guess heat can be both in a sense, but I wouldn't say it's unfair until you go above 50 or 55.

I think build variety being much larger in H2 ends up making it more unlikely to get a build started.

Also, I find myself using like 3 at max out of the 6 attacking options, so sometimes you end end up getting a clunky boon just for the sake of not getting it to appear again

majority of aspects need 2 or 3 boons to start deleting everything, build making isn't any different from h1, everything else is just a lot more complex

and the arthur strike is so large that you end up deflecting a lot + the exposed debuff is nice

since heart rend and deadly reversal are quite good

if you have aphro anywhere you can easily grab zeus call for smouldering air for added dps

Damaging dashes are pretty much the same as every other weapon but tdash can be a little annoying if you’re trying to abuse shadow slash

but I think the Styx value of tdash is just too high for that to matter ngl

and since bosses take knockback at a heavily heavily reduced rate it never really matters for them

Aside from that, Arthur is the one weapon that actually benefits from swift strike so

if you don’t end up going for Hyper Sprint -> Rush Delivery or get Hyper Sprint and can’t find Rush Delivery on second hermes

it’s a pretty good option regardless of rarity

The first two poms on tidal dash are also like massive value, and then Razor Shoals is rather strong after that, Breaking Wave really helps clear out styx and gets the decent use in elysium

Hydraulic Might is pretty busted depending on the weapon given the first ten seconds of most encounters are the most impactful and it can really cut down on the time you spend in some rooms

I’ve been playing a lot of poseidon recently because a few aspects just start with him for tidal dash for speedrunning and figure out their strike/special set-up later

or take him into aspho for tdash

sacks are only one part of a run, like you can still get decent times with a 3 sack for example, not being able to clear rooms fast due to not great pathing or comboing or chamber movement in general can all make faster times as well

There are unfair attacks that exist in high heat, like in the em4 dad fight, he does have very unfair attack patterns that exist, some hits are indeed the players fault, but things like pots bad lingering hitboxes or the cerb summon during 2.2 of the fight which requires pause buffering to dodge. There are also summons in that fight that are most definitely more punishing than others that create a field of (almost) unavoidable ticks of losing acorn for the fight (butterfly ball to be specific). I am happy to answer anymore questions regarding this
