What was your build?
Knowing patterns is a lot of it, but also having a build capable of outputting decent damage. A decent build can finish the fight in under 2 minutes, with the best builds do it in well under 1.
Main strategies for dodging would include running towards him as he winds up a big swing and dashing through it. Using pillars to control his position. And knowing what he does before letting off the lasers in phase 2 (and knowing where to be when he does).

I used achilles spear, flurry jab n thunder chain when u attack from zeus ( forgot its name ), n i used other things

It's not an awful start, but it's not best. Achilles spear is best used when not standing still though. I'm guessing you were tempted to mostly stay in one place and hold down attack to spam lightning at them. Fine for mobs in normal rooms, but will get you clobbered by bosses. Spear is better used with dash strikes, which involves constant motion and gives bigger range. If you do have this, aggressively seek Jolted for extra damage and something for your cast to do (Poseidon cast to push things back for more room perhaps). In general spear is considered a rather weak weapon, especially in its un-upgraded aspects.
Zeus adds more damage to lots of things though, and both Dionysius or Poseidon casts have good Zeus duos.
But be aware that zeus attacks come in 2 distinct flavours (chain and bolt). Attack is chain, and you won't get certain other Zeus boons unless you also get something doing bolt damage (e.g. Zeus call).

Was going to point out how Double Strike is an example of a good Zeus boon you can't get with Zeus attack or cast, but can with flourish, dash or call.
This is always spelled out in the boon description so read them carefully.

Add Ares on Special since you can tag a decent number of enemies that way. Use shield for defense and get a good strong cast or dash going.

I admit shield didn't click for me for ages because I never expected it would actually just block all (front) damage.
It's super safe (if a bit slow at first) for beginners though.
Once you get the hang of shield it's decent.
