A good Talos build is not using Talos

More seriously, if you want an easy build to get up and running, one example would be zeus attack + static discharge from Zeus, or alternatively dionysus attack. It's what some high heat players do.
More universally though, fist- and sword-aspects will usually be dealing the most damage with the duoboon between Ares and Athena . It is called Merciful End and is probably the strongest and most versatile duoboon in the game.

Not really, Talos is unfortunately quite mediocre so ignoring its main gimmick entirely is usually a good idea

Explosive upper is fun I guess, but won't do much to help. In terms of hammers you're looking for Breaching Cross, but that is the case on all fists.

That looks like Demeter fists at home, at least on dem you get almost x5 value out of the explosive upper (which I like to call Explupper :] )
