I got Trippy beo pommed the flare several times (currently level 7 trippy flare) and got not one but two extra bloodstones on Stygian Soul with Chaos boons so I'm literally just loading 2-3 flares into my shield each bash and getting flares off every bash it's so good omg

Piercing Wave is one of the best sword hammers. Cruel Thrust does literally nothing at high level sword play because rotating Special > Dash-Strike x2 without ever using the standing Attack combo is still way better DPS than using the standing combo with Cruel Thrust.
