i prefer zag rail than zag spear, or even zag sword. It's not great (like most of zag aspect), but i don't think it's the worst. But that's really subjective

Yeah in the sense that I'd say zag rail, spear, and sword are probably the bottom half of zag aspects together. I think the biggest problem with all 3 of them is that they're almost all but obsoleted by other aspects, but to me the sword and spear bonuses are still more tangible than not having to reload quite as often, especially given dash/special reload cancelling

well, i find zag rail way more tangible, or at least usefull in more builds. I prefer to be able to squeeze some extra shot before reloading than to have a bonus to attack speed that i won't really use (because with sword i mainly use dash attack) and move speed (usefull mainly if i get rush delivery); or to the spear special, the bonus is too small to make it really worth it if you don't have some really good hammer.

The issue with Chiron in Styx is that the arrows don't have enough space to home around so they end up getting eaten by the walls and a very little portion of them connects, if any. The other 3 bow aspects don't struggle with that, Hera is probably the best of the bows at Styx, Crush Shot with some poms is enough to delete everything.

You wanna use them between waves ideally

If enemies are spawning in continuously as you clear then it’s the same wave

Then that could be just 1 wave with really bad enemies and spawns, you either have to move forward with the room to push the enemies back or just try to clear the room as efficiently as possible, there is a distinct pause when the second wave starts, and you’re required to kill all the enemies of the first wave for that to happen, that is your queue to spawn manip when it’s a 2+ waver room

Some rooms you just improvise because you’re too far from a manip spot or whatever

You just stick to a corner

im gonna give you the really cliche advice of learn his attack patterns, learn how to dodge what hes doing

certain gods and builds work well with certain weapons

if youre using fists you want a flat damage attack

so ares, dio, zeus

theres a very specific but very powerful build known as merciful end
basically take ares attack, athena special (and dash but spec first), and then look for their duo

hangover on fists is good!

when you deflect (so dashing into enemies with athenas dash), it makes the doom effect activate and do more damage

oh not really

sword is similar to fists in that its a fast attacking weapon

so you want the flat damage (ares zeus dio)

posideon gives % boons, which are better on things like bow and shield but his attack isnt great
