Played this last year around this time as well! So grateful I didn’t miss out on it despite being late. Put in 255 hours overall. It was 2 playthroughs cos I got the bad ending at first and decided to restart immediately. My 2nd playthrough I’ve done everything. DLCs are freaking GREAT. Use a god keepsake in Tartarus and another god keepsake in Asphodel to help you get a decent build. Styx will be by far the best biome to level up your keepsakes when you get there. (Although Acorn will be best for fighting the final boss after Styx, but you can enter all five tunnels in Styx for 19–24 encounters for leveling up your keepsakes, way more than any other biome.)

They have a shield bash (always followed up by a spin attack if it's an armored Greatshield) and a ranged attack. That's two attacks.

Doing 100 damage in 10 hits will charge the gauge slightly more than doing 100 damage in 1 hit.

I know for some builds getting a specific duo is more essential and for others its sorta nice to have, but I guess the other factor would be if the setup includes many boons where higher rarity makes a large difference, and I don't have that level of familiarity with the game yet

Honestly, Hestia beam + Piercing fire in general is funny, look at what it does to the big rats. I love it when a specific boon synergizes with a specific hammer like this - the issue with luci hestia beam without piercing fire is that it hits one enemy in the enemyball at a time, but piercing fire fixes that (I also have concentrated beam here, which is obviously increasing the damage)

I think the main thing is that I'm never pressed with TD very much, so playing Zeus a bit more defensively allows me to do some rooms hitless as opposed to Beo with FO2, it's definitely doable but not easy

you sometimes want to bull rush into it and pick it back up or just dash to it to pick it up
you generally want to send it into a group of enemies, so you're just gonna deal base 50 to them. ER also procs lightning flourish, so it sends in a last strike for more damage on top of that

tips for rama

Start with a beefy % attack, Aphro is very good (ideally not common), or you can go for Artemis because crits, any high rarity % attack can do except Poseidon (avoid that one), for the Special you want flat damage, it's not hard to come by, usually not worth forcing tho, Ares Dio Zeus are the main ones, you can go for Demeter and try to get Killing freeze, it can work pretty well, for the Dash there arent many options because most of them are either anti-synergy or just dont do anything, Artemis however is probably the best in slot dash, because Rama relies on dash strikes and getting dash strike damage is just good, Athena is a good one too because deflecting is nice, another important thing for Rama is hammers, ideally you want Triple Shot or Twin Shot for your first hammer, if not offered you can go for Perfect or Point Blank, and for the second hammer you usually want Perfect or Point Blank (assuming Triple or Twin first) but the order can be the other way here, if you get Perfect Shot as first hammer then it's fine too, hammers to avoid are Sniper shot (blocks Twins shot) and also doesnt do anything, and Repulse shot, Explosive is a bit of an odd one, it's nice in some scenarios but hard to play, Chain shot is okay, wont do much in bosses. Rama is difficult and needs practice but it's really good when it comes to heat especially, it's a good idea to watch vods of people who are good at it and try to implement their movement and decision making in your runs
