I just found this server and wanted to say hello all, and a massive thank you to all the amazing folks at Supergiant! I bought Hades on a whim a few months ago and it very quickly became one of my favorite games, period. The music, the artstyle, the characters, the humor, the voice acting, the story (I love Greek mythology as is so i may be biased, but the sheer amount of detail is astounding) the gameplay, the brutal yet satisfying challenge, everything is just so damn good. I kind of have a serious issue after turning off God Mode... I beat the game, at around 45-50 attempts, and I decided to give myself more of a challenge by turning god mode off. The thing is,I don't think I'm fighting easy enemies like you do the first time you play the game. I think they're throwing much tougher and armored enemies into early levels. When you players turned off god mode, did this also seem this way to you?? Or is it maybe just in my head? Bc I really don't think so. I might even start a new game to see if I'm right.

Special > Dash-Strike x2 > repeat, pretty much. So assuming you take Divine Strike, you'll want a good Special boon. Deadly Flourish would be great for damage and to get their Duo Boon.
The go-to build in Guan Yu speedruns is Curse of Agony + Divine Flourish to get Merciful End and then also get Divine Dash.
That'll get you the best DPS on Guan Yu.
So that's a strong option if you want to use Lady Athena in your build.

There are some specifics as well. They may give you some challenges to do (poseidon and ares only, I think) after some pre-requisites I think u can see on the wiki. They have specific dialogue as well for duo boons, as well as some weapon aspects and their own keepsakes.

I would say don't worry too much about a long-term goal and just play when you feel like it knowing there's always gonna be new stuff to discover. But there's a lot of mini goals you can set like any prophecies that sound fun or unlocking a weapon aspect you wanna try out.
Since runs are pretty quick, you can just do a quick run or two whenever you feel like playing some Hades.
