I was at Detroit and decided to get a souvenir, so naturally I went to a sketchy clothing store on the city outskirts that smelled of weed and everything there was brightly colored and/or torn. I got a pink and navy pants that was more holes than pants, and it was so sketchy that I didn't even want to use my credit card. I thought "eh how much could this be, like 20 bucks?" and the cashier was like "it's 40", so I started digging into my wallet for cash, counted out 30 in bills, and when the cashier saw I was emptying my coins too he said something like "oh you can just pay 30". So I did that. Without mentioning I had 2 bank cards with me.

I still think they tried to rip me off bc I was obviously not a regular (there were plenty of people in that store), then let me off bc I looked so helpless. Anyway I chalked that up as a donation to the local economy.
