On that pronoun discussion: while I usually throw all sorts of shade at English due to its myriad of inconsistencies, I do love that it has a gender neutral pronoun that isn't low-key insulting. In my mother tongue you'd be referring to people that identify as genderqueer or agender as "it" which is used for objects and animals etc which is ... problematic for obvious reasons.

Wasn't "they" originally used as a singular when speaking of an unknown person?

It's not changing gender for the plurals, rather that having plurals capable of being different genders confused me. German goes "is it plural? Then female. Yes, even if the word is masculine." French tosses that out the window and goes with word flow instead. Sounds prettier but very confusing.

I don't think it's unavoidable, it's incredibly difficult especially in AAA dev teams where overwork and abuse of workers is rife throughout alongside tight deadlines that push everyone working on the project to their limits and beyond. (even some indie devs studios and studios like steam and epic launchers)

It's really refreshing to see a dev team to see a studio focus first and foremost on the health of their team over tight deadlines. The healthier the workers the better outcomes you end up getting for your games. Even if it days longer for the game to release
