Like, I do take an anti-anxiety medication, but it's only one part of the equation that keeps me relatively calm. Makes things a little less sensory heck, especially in crowds or around noises I can't handle without earplugs/place to retreat to/water.

Balance is important. I had to stop doing contract work on the side for most of December and the beginning of January to recover. Starting back up again (I still work on a sub-contract basis for my old employer because apprentice wages are not great) now, but I was getting pretty burnt out

If it makes you feel better(?), when I moved this past summer the truck rental company "guaranteed" me a 15' moving truck, then called me like 3 days before I was supposed to pick it up to say that the people who had the truck I was supposed to be using hadn't returned it yet (before the weekend, I was supposed to pick it up after the weekend), and that all they had was a 10' truck. Better yet, it wasn't even in the same city, which is also part of their guarantee, but was in a city an hour's drive away. I had to take a cab to pick it up, I had no other means to get it. The stress that caused me... ugh

I'm sorry for your troubles with the move, believe me when I say I understand

lol reminds me of when I decided to drop everything and go to uni, I had a place of my own, 3 bedrooms etc and had to downsize my possessions to a single room. Took like a year to get rid of stuff and sell stuff, now I can move in a car load if I sell my furniture

I've found I don't like fully toasted bread for sandwiches, I prefer to shove two slices into one toaster slot, flip it so both sides are even, separate the bread, then put the spread on the toasted side before putting it together.
