Honestly that's fine, in my opinion, and that's coming from someone who enjoys stronger drinks than most of my friends (and I don't drink often, usually just a few times a year).

In my experience, if you are going to drink, using it just enough to float a bit and enjoy the social lubricant is a good amount anyway.

@sharp grail (and pretty much anyone reading this) Well it depends if you’re more into live-action series of animated series.

If you’re into animated series, I suggest you to at least try the series from the Glitch studio, basically a studio that offers funds to independent animators and voice-actors to do series. You might have heard of them through their current biggest success, The Amazing Digital Circus. But it doesn’t stop there, they currently have The Amazing Digital Circus, 3 other series that are finished (Murder Drones, Sunset Paradise and Meta Runner) and 2 incomings series that have a pilot for now (The Gaslight District, Knights of Guinevere). If you’re into animation, try at least the first episode of each series. I can’t guarantee you will like it, this is still indie animation so no guarantee on the quality of the product, but it deserves a try. Also I don't know if english is your first language, but if it's not, there's probably a voice-acting of quality in your own language! I'm french and I sure do love the french voice-acting in these series.

If you’re into live-actions series, I recently discovered a medical drama called House M.D….nah, I’m kidding, I’m talking about The Resident. The main character of this show, a resident doctor who has a past in the Navy Corps, is absolutely lovely. While not as philosophical as House M.D., the Resident is great when it talks about how badly corrupted the “medical world” can be sometimes. Death before Dishonor. Do no Harm.

What is everyone’s thoughts on the game Sworn by Windwalk Games and Team17?

Hades / Hades II are my favorite games and I love roguelikes, but it makes me cringe when games are blatantly ripping off with little effort to distinguish themselves. I love TMNT: Splintered Fate but even that got close to the line but Sworn looks like a more shameless carbon copy. But wanted to get thoughts from other Hades fans if this is something I can get over and enjoy the game since I’m clearly part of their target base.

okay, so... here's the story

and i have to be careful about my wording here

i am... not a musically talented person, right?
but i do need some music for my boomshoot and i'm kinda running out of options here

i tried my hand at making some music, managed to finish one track and i thought it's gonna be a placeholder for a dynamic music system until someone who knows wtf they're doing comes along but i still haven't found anyone and i'm getting kinda desparate so i guess that placeholder will stay

anyway
yesterday i got a sudden surge of creativity
got off work, grabbed a beer and started tinkering with some samples
and it was actually kinda working out!
so i grabbed another beer and kept at it and got the general mood and structure going
managed to split it into separate loops for combat and setpieces and tense post-combat sections

it was going so well in fact that i got super excited and invited my friend to collab (the daw i'm using has this nifty collab feature where you can send someone a link to a project and they can fork off of that)

so - happy with a job well done...
i grabbed a beer , chilled for a bit
and then went to bed

now - today i woke up, alcohol and emotions wore off
i gave it a listen...

... and it sounds like absolute garbage

this is hopeless

Depends on the event! MCM London is the biggest and there's a whole lot going on. A lot of the main halls are full of shops and fan merch and artists. There's usually photos and autographs on sale from guests who are in film, game, book, comic, anime, tv, and more. Stages have talks and panels, there can also be workshops and activities. Some have playable demos of video games, card game tournaments, board game areas... often lots of cosplay and there can be fan meets too which are great for photos and meeting peoplw

Too bad I live really far away from the big cities, and my country usually doesn't host conventions
